Great news. I can't recommend Shiltons in Epping, Essex highly enough. They really are superb (pants website though!). I've been using them for years on various cars and now travel from Surrey to get there for anything I need. They are quite expensive though. And not exactly close to you. But they will do a great job. Most of the cars they work on are top marques which is also an indication of quality. Shame they aren't closer to you.

I was expecting mention of empty beer glasses and £1 coins being dropped into them. Thread fails to deliver :(

Good purchase. I'm like you nowadays. I love V6's. I do miss my TT's 1.8T 225bhp when driving quickly but thoroughly enjoy the V6 in my 4Mo all the time. It's lovely when driving sedately and when you put your foot down you feel the power gently but relentlessly swell. It never feels amazingly quick but it just keeps pulling and pulling and pulling. I once had a lovely mk3 VR6 Highline and loved the engine in that but the modern 24v feels so much better in my opinion.

For me it was literally years. Around June 2009 I happened to pass one on the M25. It was quite shabby and a really faded red. But as I went past it I realised how much I'd loved the look of them and how long it had been since I'd seen, or at least noticed, one. I really don't know how long it had been prior to that but it had certainly been a long time.

Everyone seems to have gotten hope that their Corrado is now worth a fortune :) But I think that's unlikely. Firstly this is only one sale and it's quite possible it was either not a real bidder or, if it was, then it could be a one off. However, let's assume for now that this has set a new market level for the seats. That still doesn't mean that cars are worth that amount. It could be that Recaro's suddenly are. But that's because they are quite unique and even mk2 Recaro's won't properly fit. To take this even further, mk2 Recaro's are not uncommon. In fact there is a company in germany that specialises in selling completely retrimmed heated leather recaro's just like this. So in effect the buyer has just paid around £2k for the subframes which is the only really rare part of these seats :lol: :lol:

Completely agree with the above. V6 and 4WD. I have the same in my 4Mo and love it to bits. Personally I'd get a Golf over a Bora but the Bora is fantastic value.

Was the best version of the Corrado though to be fair! Careful, the G60 owners will get upset again :)

Woohoo nice one. I once had to take a cyclist to the small claims court after she dented my car and later tried to blame me (I was parked and obviously stationary at the time!). She settled a few days before the court date. Glad you got the right result :)

That's lovely. You know what, this could be something to consider instead of a Corrado. I've just taken a peek on PH and the prices are certainly affordable. And the spec if generally higher than a Corrado too.
