  1. Buy another standard rear bench and take both to a retrimmers to make one good seat out of bad. Shouldn't cost too much as they don't need to fully retrim... just use the good bits from the standard bench to fix the missing bit behind the leather?
  2. There are two ways of looking at this question... The unique parts on a Corrado are the body and the interior. So if looking to buy a car then I'd say you need to find one which is good in these areas. The engine is also unique but you could get a conversion in the future, finance permitting. However, if your engine dies then the car won't go anwhere. So if you already have the car then I'd say get the engine and running gear fixed first.
  3. Gotta say, I almost bought this car but for various job reasons didn't do so. While I regret missing such a great car, in some ways I'm glad I did. There is no way I'd have had the time, money, or ability to do what you've done. It's gone to a better home :)
  4. I sooo want a mk1 GTI. That looked like a Campaign to me. My first car was a silver mk1 Driver... it looked like a GTI outside but had a 1.3 engine and normal seats, etc. Loved that car.
  5. Pictures hide a thousand imperfections. I've seen a few cars advertised which look great. But when I've arrived and seen them in the metal they have been terrible. Also, yes there will be quite a few stunning examples on here but you've also got to bear in mind this is an enthusiasts forum and people on here are more likely to improve their cars over time.
  6. Great work there. It's really come up nicely. Lovely colour. isn't that the metallic black? I used to have a Golf mk3 VR6 Highline in the same and when clean it looked fantastic, particularly against the silver alloys. EDIT: I hate bonnet bra's.
  7. Which would you prefer and why? Assuming both in good condition and leather recaro isn't an option?
  8. I'm guessing you typed the wrong film title next to your score ... That's the only way your comment makes sense! Haha, nope :)
  9. Inception 7/10 It had quite a bit of potential but seemed a little overdone and a bit of a copy of Matrix and Vanilla Sky. The inconsistencies annoyed me a lot too.
  10. Bought a Bentley manual from RichG60. Easy deal, good comms, great condition and packaged well. Thanks.
  11. Congrats :) But it'll get yer next time ;)
  12. People are cnuts sometimes :censored: Suggest you get some elephant tape or some other type of tape that is waterproof and cover it to prevent water getting in.
  13. Gotta say when I first saw those wheels I preferred the originals. But they are growing on me a lot and I think I prefer them now. Lovely car. I hope you have some winter wheels though :)
  14. I'm not sure on the insurance front (try phoning a specialist and discussing it with them?) but I'd keep the tax on it as that would put people off. As for the car it looks lovely. Perhaps it's missing leather door cards that might be putting people off? These will be hard to get hold of so you might want to consider selling the leather (replace with a standard interior) and probably make more money overall? Dunno, looks a nice car to me.
  15. Hypotheical question... if I were to hand a Corrado VR6 to a garage and say "fit me a supercharger" or "fit me a turbo" then how much would each cost? Not that I ever will do that, but just wondering :)
  16. Dark corrado, not sure model, spoked bbs alloys, parked in Hilgay today at 3pm.

    tt seats

Can't help with the question but I'd like to add my own if you don't mind too much... do people prefer TT seats to standard, or recaro, leather seats? Or is it just because they are easier to get hold of?
  18. Bargain car there . But that's some serious wheelarch rust there!
  19. Took me a while to get the number plate but get it now :). I hope you got a good deal on the old one from a Porsche owner (911 speed). Lovely car :)
  20. Excellent! I will try that :) You'll have to leave it overnight to set. Once it's set you'll be surprised how strong it is. It's probably best to use several large dabs of it rather than smother it all over. If that still doesn't hold it then smother it :) But I'd be surprised if it doesn't work.
  21. Yes I know, thankyou. But this picture shows it much more clearly because of the white background :)
  22. Haha I knew you were going to say that. I've been looking for a decent DBP pic for ages to see if I liked it. Thread delivers!
  23. Very nice indeed. Which colour is that?
  24. Nooo don't screw it on. If it were me I'd get some clear silicone sealant from a DIY shop and 'glue' it on with that. I've used it before to stick things on and it holds very firmly until you want to peel it off. Then the residue simply rubs away without leaving a mess like sticky pads. Might be worth a try anyway :)
  25. Right, decision made. I am not going to get the R32. Instead I will keep the 4Mo and keep searching for the right Corrado :)
