  2. I missed the banking and didn't get my car on there. But I did originally say I was going to. So if I owe anything then Pete please pm me and I'll forward it.
  3. Just got back. Had a great time and nice to meet up with some old faces. Lovely venue as usual. Thanks for organising. Not a bad Corrado turnout either.
  4. Yep. They are the back seats to the late black cloth recaros.
  5. Havne't received mine either. I'll pm you Jim. Thanks.
  6. I'd say the 90's. The Corrado is in a very strange period right now. It isn't worth much but isn't yet quite old enough to be a true classic. It's not weel known enough to have retro value like a Golf mk1 or 2. Sadly I feel it is in a near terminal decline for another 5 to 10 years (and then prices will bounce considerably). I also feel that by the time it is really old enough to be interesting to the general public there will be so few left that the wonderful community we have here will have evaporated away. So I'd have to say that the 90's were the heyday.
  7. When I first bought a Corrado I couldn't see the benefit of the CCGB but joined anyway "just in case". Since then I wouldn't be without my membership. Part of owning the car is the fantastic community around it of meeting up regularly with people you get to know. For example I've had my car parked on the Brooklands banking with 52 other cars, taken the car out on the Castle Combe race track, etc, etc. But I will also add that I also voluntariy pay a couple of pounds a month into the Corrado forum as well. While it's not a club in the same way they compliment each other and I feel it's only right that the forum gets something in return too. In short... join the CCGB and donate a few shackles to the forum too :)
  8. I've not been around the forum much recently but thought I'd pop by tonight... found you're selling up. Sad times :(
  9. Do you love it and cant explain why? Then keep it :) If not then sell it :(
  10. I believe there is and have no doubt about that. There are far too many stars and planets for there not to be.
  11. I just finally registered. The offer to assist in advance is still there as I live 15 mins down the road. Looking forward to this. I've not used the car in so long the battery is flat. I need more Corrado time.
  12. Thanks for the YouTube upload. I'm loving the in-cabin rattles you can hear in the background :D
  13. This. I do my own servicing now but with such a low mileage car it's worth getting the dealer stamp. However I wouldn't trust a VAG main dealer with any more significant Corrado work because they simply know so little about them. You're better of finding a recommended independant or specialist who has some recent experience of them.
  14. That is absoluitely beautiful. Good luck getting parts though :)

    Loving It

They're great aren't they and feel so different and much more communicatrive than most modern cars,
  16. Very nice purchase. Wish mine was as high as that. With my 90mm splitter I can't go near a speed bump at anywhere over 10mph :)
  17. I had a similar smell in my VR6. It was the connector on the fuel lines into the engine. I tightened them up to fix the issue and it hasn't reoccurred. I don't know much about the valver engine but it's worth a check.
  18. That's really crap mate :( I'll keep an eye out as I'm near that way.
  19. I passed up a new Storm in 1995 for a mk3 VR6. What on earth was I thinking :(
  20. I took my kids karting today and got talking about cars to the guy running the kids track. I was saying I had a Corrado and they were good cars but not that fast compared to a modern average car. His eyes lit up and he enthused " But it's a Corrado!" and then started asking me about it, whether it was a VR6 etc :) Not a major chuftie but it was the way he started enthusing about them that made my morning.
