Would a T5 be practical for the family day to day? i guess it will be a little big and awkways for some situations compared to the estate? If you think it will work then I'd sell the corrado and go for it.

I see a few aroud Surrey although they are getting increasingly rare here too. I guess them being mainly a summer or weekend car, and there being poor weather recently, means they get hidden at home a lot. Funnily I bought mine from near Kings Lynn.

Interesting thread. My brother is just about to drop out of the rat race and start up doing this very thing. He's been looking at buying a transporter and has been discussing contracts with a few garages. There is apparently a lot of competition and so prices are keen. But there are also a lot of people who are fly-by-night's with really shabby vehicles. He's not intending to make a fortune doing it and will be giving up a very well paid career. It's more a lifestyle thing for him and a love of cars.

I've just found out I probably won't have the kids with me so I may actually get to enjoy the show this time rather than having to keep an eye on the little treasures :lol: I'll be leaving from J10 M25 near Esher but no idea what time because I'm completely disorganised :D I was hoping to get some bodywork done to the car before the shows started but simply haven't had the time.

They only did storm grey for one year so guessing the reg was easy :) rare colour, not many around now. Looks lovely with the cream interior. The heater matrix is not uncommon (dash out or become a contortionist - there is a guide on the forum somewhere). Swap for an oem or high quality unit, not an Ebay special unless you want to do it again in a few years.
