Dont knock it Rob, not many tradesmen left now, im a bricklayer 30 odd years experience, wet trades are few and far between now so moneys good as it should be, as you said its a young mans job, im 51 and starting to struggle putting my socks on in the morning ha ha, im sure you know what i mean!! not many youngsters seem to want to do the job now, being self employed doesnt help.

Try this, https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwi9zPvg3NLWAhWCahoKHW5ZA4kQFggoMAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fchrome.google.com%2Fwebstore%2Fdetail%2Ffix-embedded-photobucket%2Fcdngpnpgjighldbibdgpddaieidknhlf%3Fhl%3Den&usg=AOvVaw3J3UzD4rQA8eFLsiDAizLo

replace everything while you are there as unless it has been replaced recently it will be bolloxed, do not use cheap top mounts as they will knock within weeks, i found out the hard way with our fabia|| euro car part cheapies, crap.. you only gain benefits from replacing all suspension bushes when changing the shocks
-
Do you still have the power steering pump? if so how much posted please
-
sorry to hear this mate, i would be trailering the car back and getting my money back at this stage
-
I take it you havent had it long, how has this fault happened
-
I remember that exact feeling, ha ha, i must be getting old, as that put a smile on my face
-
I think they are worth it if you are an enthusiast and willing to keep one for a long while as prices slowly seem to be rising as they are getting rarer, the americans seem to love them too, lots of videos appearing on you tube of some really fantastic cars lately. nice to see valvers on the way up too. some early ones in fantastic condition with low mileage have fetched over 5k on autotrader and ebay, maybe buyers have gone for valvers over VRs after struggling to find a VR in good enough condition, after all why should raddos be worth any less than old mk1 astras or escorts apart from availability

These engines suffer from oil starvation, the oil pick up pipe causes it, common problem with the 18t engine, sump off and replace the pick up pipe if this is the problem

Try unicorn, they remapped my 225 TT and it made 270 bhp, really smooth delivery and ran smooth https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiPmZX46cXVAhWrB8AKHXS2ANUQFggpMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.unicornmotordevelopments.com%2F&usg=AFQjCNET8-e8If3ubSHBLArfCEsESmNViw

can you not get your fuel pressure checked first, oould even be a fuel pump problem or filter blocked, are the injectors good? you can check the fuel rate of the injectors pretty easy, have a look on youtube, there is some info floating around the net

Its a 3.5 V6 jim 272 bhp, and a rare manual which is what i wanted, its been behaved so far and is still under warranty with a dealer so fingers crossed, awesome noise when pushed hard
-
Ive just bought an R171 Mercedes SLK350 jim and that has a complicated rear set up too with a subframe and the handbrake mechanism is the same, incorparated in the discs, it will need new rear discsw and pads soon, not looking forward to it, are you going to tackle the work youself
-
strangely, those decals look really smart, never seen that done to a Raddo before, welcome
-
I would check that, as you should not have to modify anything with something as important as a cambelt
-
As has been said. if you have an early style bonnet there will be a clearance issue in using the abf block, i think there was someone who used a differnt kind of engine mounts to lower the bock into the bay, but the 9a is fine but they are an older block, i am running a standard 1.8 valver box and had no issues
-
thats without turbo or charger, if thats what you plan to do
-
you need the later style bonnet to fit the taller abf block im sure, i have done the 9a with kr head conversion and it was pretty straight forward and gives a noticeable torque increase and with some head flow work as i have done will give 160ish bhp and a nice free revving unit
