I feel your pain! Not my corrado but the TT, the mrs left it in her works car park (NHS) and some turd has smashed the front bumper so badly it needs replacing, I mean the car is always polished and near mint and now needs a new bumper and paint, and as usual no one has come foeward! Hope you get yours sorted mate!
-
Im sure someone else was looking at this car before and there is a thread about it,can`t seem to find it though
-
Was there not a thread about this car before from TCS, Forgive me if im wrong but be carefull with this company
-

I have had 2 valvers and both run hot and have always been led to believe that its normal, This current engine has been rebuilt and hasn1t been used much to be fair but the oil temp does go high in traffic but soon cools back down when its driving the rad is not that old and water pump was fine when it was fitted and the fan cuts in ok and cuts off, Maybe my temp senders duffed..
-
well its trial and error really, Is the engine healthy what mileage and does it generally use oil and water? If not and its healthy i woul change the fluids with decent correct grade oil and coolant then change the heat exchanger but try the oil temp sensor first but dont run it up to that temp or you will cook it, The exchanger is easy enough to change just a bit fiddly
-
Its probably the heat exchanger thats causing the problem, had this with mine! The coolant runs through it and cools the oil, only problem is as it gets old it doesnt perform as it should! Valvers do run hot and mine will go up to 129 in traffic but yours is really high ---------- Post added at 11:33 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:27 AM ---------- http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1871 Could be this

Horrible nightmare job, did mine a couple of weeks ago, Lots of swearing and drop the subframe as low as it will go to push the little blighters in then i used some clamps to hold the clamp down to start the bolts
-
Iv`e got an engine stand her you can use when your feeling brave enough mate, held mine up fine when i did mine.
-
The amount of polish that will going on you won`t have to worry about the sun fading it kip, Are you going take the engine and box out to tidy up the bay? Glad to see its coming along..
-
I bought my front and rear discs from them grooved aswel and zinc coated and had great service from them and the discs have been great too!

Well this week iv`e found a bit o love for the corrado and as im quiet at work thought i would drop the front subframe wip the arb of and paint it then fit my new bushes which was nightmare to do on your own, then refurb the front calipers with new seals then turn my attention to the rear calipers that have benn sticking and generally causing the car uneven braking very nastily at speed, after buying two so called new calipers of someone on here i set about stripping the old ones off then spraying the new ones and replacing, was a nightmare to bleed the system only to end up with one of them not working!! The handbrake mech was shot on the caliper and just wouldn`t do anything so i then had to strip one of the old ones and try and fix that which i have so there you go as usuall nothing ever goes to plan in the world of corrado`s and today have stripped the interior and treated all the leather with gliptone and put it all back together, it smells like new now and looks a lot cleaner..

Poly Bush Full Kit. Is this a good price? Or should I just fit new rubber?

I think if you paid a lot of cash and it was a newer merc it would inspire but if you don`t mind massive depreciation i suppose i must admit i do miss the clk only because of its fantastic auto box and its luxury`s as it was fully loaded with goodies ohh and that star on the bonnet that made you feel you were driving something special, I go out for a run in the TT and all it does is go fast and handle reasonably well! Must be my age Ha ha -
I like the way they say add £100 if you want 3 months warrenty! Thats a load of rot as they have to give 3 months minimum parts and labour by law. Its probably a bin anyway as most are these days. ---------- Post added at 06:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:11 PM ---------- Khaki green!! I wonder if thats a vag colour, He He

Insurance is a must, We have a Kerry blue terrier and its the nastiest hardest dog we have ever had, my son opened the front door to someone and he shot out and leatherd two dogs and i ended up with a vets bill for nearly a grand! Needless to say he never gets out now other than mussled and on his lead, Labs are usually very friendly so you should be ok but you never know

I was into mercs too elliot, My brother is a merc technician the wife had a CLK320 w208 It was a lovely car brilliant engine but handled like a barge, we swapped it for a TT would like to think i will go back in a few years time we looked for a convertible but they were all dogs and the clk suffers from bad rust around the arches, i found the merc forums really freindly to be far, But this forum is very good and more down to earth with some really knowlegable members to be fair -

Word of warning, Be carefull not to cross thread the subframe bolts when you reasemble (the ones at the rear by the arb) as i nearly did as its a bit of a sod to align the subframe back up just make sure there in right. -

Did you get any discount, They should give you at least 10% if you push them.
