There are two wires the same colour (black) and a block conecter with a green an red wire, has any one got any pics how they connect, don`t want to take a chance and possibly do some damage

Just lately every weekend has been taken up with either fixing things on the Audi or corrado or my pick up! This weekend for instance has been saturday/ thermostat and thermotime switch seal and a good clean up of the corrado after it being sat far too long in the garage then wash and hoover the TT and today its the pick ups turn! wash and hoover inside check all fluids, last weekend was changing the springs for H&R springs on mates A3 Quattro and then on sunday a Haldex oil and filter change on the TT and the weekend before it was H&R springs on my TT and oil and filter! It never ends with these old cars, Next weekend it is Rear exhaust rubber hangers and Water coolant outlet change on the c! I end up going back to work more knackered than i am in the week!! Let alone skint

1.8 & 2.0 16v interchangable engine parts!? Help needed!
joby replied to bristolbaron's topic in Engine Bay
I have replaced my kr bottom end with a 9a 2.0 block and used a gas flowed kr head and most of the parts are interchangeable including the cam pulley and belt but i used a 2.0 head gasket as its a steel gasket, davidwort is the best to ask as he gave me some valueable info as it was a while ago that i did mine but its well worth it for the extra torque! The manifolds do fit and depends which size inlet manifold you want ---------- Post added at 11:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:09 PM ---------- Not sure about the throttle body from the 2.0 but changing the water pump would be a good idea while you are at it ---------- Post added at 11:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:11 PM ---------- I think the cambelt pulley stud is different that goes into the kr head -
Must be the one of the lowest mileage corrado's???

2.0 16v vs 1.8 16v Cam belt + tensioner - Advice needed!
joby replied to classic's topic in Engine Bay
Mine has a 9a block with a KR head! converted it myself and used a 1.8 cambelt kit! positive there both the same -
1 good thing about the 18t is how easily and cheaply tuneable it is compared to the VR engine, My TT is the 225 bam engine mapped by DG and i have done the wak box conversion which gives it a bit more noise and a nice whoosh from the turbo and feels really lively and fast! My mate has a mapped R32 with an airbox conversion and sounds awesome but after going out in the two cars he was shocked that the TT is faster but i would admit the TT sounds nothing like his R32, The 18t would be a nice conversion in the four pots but wouldn`t want to butcher a VR for the 18t engine! and also how would front wheel drive cope with nearly 300bhp without the electronic trickery that the TT has?

Lovely R there mate, my mates got one in blue! I repaired the door lock on it last weekend as there prone for going on them and the alarm doesnt work when they do go and a few other eleccy probs! his has been remapped and sounds really nice and shifts too!

I must of spent over 6k on mine over a period of 10 years which is good considering iv`e spent over £1200 on my TT in 10 months! Cars= expensive hobby

It looks cheap if its as good as it looks! Its becoming increasingly hard to find a corrado in decent condition these day
