  1. I used some 10mm threaded bar and used a couple of big old sockets to pull the bush through plenty of copper slip and a bit of messing about did the job, a bit fiddly but can be done
  2. Welcome to the forum and youv`e come to the right place for information, lots of help and info here and im sure you will find the right car just don`t rush into it, the right one will come along in time.

  6. After some sebring alloys, Not realy bothered about tyres as most sebrings will probably need refurbing now just don`t want any that are bent or big chunks knocked out of them and decent centre caps please.. im in north wales so prob would need posting
  7. After coming out alive from an accident like that you would probably never want to drive any other car other than a corrado!! Luck was on his side that day Thankfully
  8. Sorry to hijack the thread but if op isn`t interested in the sebrings i could be, have you any pics if so can you pm me them Cheers
  9. Really intersting write up! Good luck with it all
  10. Id like a set too, didnt even know about this
  11. Wrote that post too early in the morning ha ha, what i meant was you would feel slight resistance if one of the pistons came close to a valve, My valver was really tight to turn over too david especialy after the head rebuild! Doing cambelts is always a nail biter even after youve checked and double checked. When i did my TT i stood and looked at it in total fear for half an hour before i started it up Ha Ha.
  12. Take number 1 plug out and place a long screwdriver down the cylinder rotate crank pulley (with the belt off) untill you see the TDC marks lign up you should see the screwdriver just inbetween the downward and upward stroke then mark the crank pulley TDC mark with tipex corisponding with the block then check that the cam pulley marks are ligning up (pulley against Head Marks) Then place the belt on caerfully as not to move the marks then rotate from the crank a few times yoy will feel a slight resistance if all is not well! Try doing an audi TT belt absolute knightmare!!! The valver is a doddle.. Good luck
  13. Dealer prices are ridiculious you have to go to an indi or better still do it yourself simple to work on, cambelts are a bit fiddly and time consuming and thermostat is also a bit fiddly but servicing is easy even the haldex is an easy job, Not sure about the wheels bullfinch as mine is on TTcomps and there 17`s only the upgraded So called RS4`s were 18`s Mine handles really well on standard kit and is blindingly quick and capable when pushed hard on country roads Good fun car to be fair
  14. Take it straight to dg autotech and get it mapped by dave and i guarantee you will be smiling like a cheshire cat :D Had mine for 4 months now and after the remap it is extremely quick and good fun take no notice of the hairdreser jokes :) get them all day long :)
  15. A big thank you to dave at DG autotech for Remapping my Audi TT on saturday :D After a long and wet 150 mile drive to dg, Dave hooked the TT up to his laptop and we took the car out for a test drive to check for any faults regarding misfires and to check it was boosting ok, All was well so on the return to dg dave then reflashed my ecu with the new software and off we went for a more entertaining test drive to check all was well and for dave to do some more testing, Then it was my turn :) Its amazing how much extra power and torque has been released and now the TT feels so much faster and some nice Turbo noise as well :D I had an entertaining ride home i can tell you 8) Ohh and dave does a tasty bacon butty too, Its nice to be able to take your car to someone who cares and is genuinely interested So Thanks dave and heres a couple of pics
  16. So did the mk1 TT in the autocar test, Those are the pics from the test
  17. A few tasty pics to compare
  18. To be fair i don`t think its that bad looking its just such a blatant copy of the TT and its French so the quality is not going to be on par with the germans
  19. http://www.tt-forum.co.uk/forum/viewtop ... &hilit=RCZ
  20. Have you not seen its fat ass :pukeleft: Theres a funny thread on the TT forum about the RCZ, some guy came on there from the RCZ forum comparing the both cars  He soon left
  21. You will love the TT :) Had mine a couple of months now 2001 225 in silver with blue leather 62000 on the clock, Stanard until 8thjan then D&G autotech are gonna work ther magic and hopefully get me 275 bhp  and loads of torque, To be fair its been fantastic in the snow even with michelin sports on! Loads of people looking astonished at how i can get up the hills while they are stranded :D Even in standard form it would leave a standard VR6 for dead so they aint slow good all round fun for a middle aged bloke like me
  22. Hope youv`e taken lots of digital pics kip or there will be a few nuts and bolts left over and a bit of head scratching, Hehe
  23. The corrado fitted in then dave, Looks all nice and snug ! All you need now is your bed in there too! He he
