Took delivery of this little lot over the weekend . All parts from vedubmachine and service parts from TPS . Progress is a little slow because of the weather . I have managed to remove the sump , clean it , paint it and fit it back on . All the nuts n bolts are being soaked in WD40 everyday , as they are being very stubborn when it comes to removal . Im sure i will get there eventualy Thanks for looking Rob

I would love to have oem badges on my car . I ended up painting mine in the end . Glws , as said I wish I could have these .

It had to come up when I've spent a fortune over the weekend on my car !! Never mind .

I got all my stuff from vedubmachine mate . Tps didn't have most of it , VW Heritage still have some stock though . Wishbones come with the bushes in place too .

The rest is all on order Sean . Drop links , wishbones , ball joints etc . As you say the list is endless !

Having had a good look at the hubs [suspension arm] im going to restore these too. It seems pointless not doing them while its all in bits , they are in a sorry state , only surface rust but they need sorting . I was begining to wonder if i had taken on to much yesterday. Its all well and good on a ramp , but on the drive its hard work , yes its worth it ,but some of the bolts are going to be a right pig .

My clamps are the same , I will be tackling them with a dremmel once I get them off .

I'm going to support the tank and remove mine Sean , then repaint them , they are in great condition , so not there's not a lot of prep needed .

Lol Sean , I try ! . I forgot to mention the petrol tank straps will be done too . James I will be putting copper slip on before the wheels get refitted .

Lol Gareth ! I will put pics up as i progress . The bad weather has made working on the car a bit of a pain . But i have managed to remove the sump, clean all the bottom of the engine and gearbox .I was very happy when i looked in the sump and it was as clean as a whistle , no crap at all . The sump has been painted , a new gasket , then re fitted . I have made a start on the front end parts but the nuts n bolts are prooving very difficult to remove . Even the wheels were jammed on !. All my parts are on order atm and should be here soon . Im hoping to get up to Gareths soon [VR6gar] and get the rear beam . I will renew all the front first though and move on to the back when im done . As for the underseal ,its in great condition and i only had to touch up a tiny bit . Also the crossmember is in excellent condition and i cant see any point in doing anything with it . I will be replacing the break lines while im at it too. Rob

I know exactly what your going through Jim . I'm struggling with rusted nuts n bolts ATM , my problem is my temper !! . You have to walk away have a cup of tea , take deep breaths and return to it after lol . Gareth is VR6gar mate .

I was told , when buying my Jetex , that there were three stages . Quiet , middle and loud . I went with the middle one . Lovely exhaust note .

We didnt completely remove the dash , just disconected everything and pulled it back as far as we could get it .

Matrix without the dash out ! LOL

I was saying to Robbierr32 the other day about CDA's . I have a jetex system ,with a KnN filter . Rob has a miltec with a BMC CDA . Im not that convinced its that much louder ?.

Sorry to jump in here . I'm refurbing the underside of the car ATM , I noticed mine is leaking . How much are these to replace ? I take it the company has the old one and you get a refurbed one . Or can I just replace the seals ? . Many thanks Rob

Nice one mate good news on the engine . Mine were about the same price , never had any problems with vedubmachine parts , they are proberbly the same anyway .

What oil would you recomend for a 150k VR6 please Kind regards Rob
