Thanks for replies , the under side has some rust and is generally scabby really , that's the reason I'm having it done .

Im having my bonnet painted soon , the underside is being painted too as its a bit messy . I bought the new sound deadening heat protector foam in the group buy recently .When i went to see the bloke in the paintshop he mentioned it would look really nice to be left in paint , which i thought would be nice too. But with the heat of the VR6 engine , would it dull the new paint after a while ?. I didnt think to ask at the time , as i was a bit rushed .Regards Rob

The fogs pop out , i get a screw driver , with a rag on the end to stop paint damage . Gently lever both sides a bit at a time . Rob

They are lovely wheels mate , got them in a group buy , back in 2011 I think . Shame you couldn't get to dds today mate .

Thats better pics are now up . Looking forward to an early start tomorrow and getting stuck into sorting a lot of niggles out . I have a large list of jobs , that seems to be growing by the hour !. Rob

A couple of pics from last weekend where we stayed in cornwall . On saturday she goes in to Devon dub shack for an interior sort out . Theres lots to be done and sorted . Rattles , squeeks, parts that just wont sit right , new window scrapers to be fitted .I cant remember if i said but after having the interior out five times now for one reason or another ,i really dont want to have to do it again .I want it done all at once , not me doing it in the rain , with no where to put everything . Also on saturday morning i will be stoping off at a recomended paint shop to see how much the bonnet and bumper painting will be .

Are you going to have the car painted in the original colour Sean ?.

Thanks mate , i know they sell them in 10mm ,saying you get extra power and a better spark or something , which we all know is crap . Ive seen these on peoples cars they have just bought and are tiding things up as we all do , these are the ones that are too big ,wont sit in the resess and make the bay untidy .

When this came up a while back it was said they dont fit . Heres a pic of my magnacor leads 7mm and in black . They fit perfectly and blend in with the rest of the pipe work thats also in black . Rob

After reading what Jim has posted up I would take the matter to plod . You will be in the clear and have no reprocutions then . Is there no end to what these fraudsters will think of next ? .

Have a look at the search , there's a lot on which ones to get . I got the magnacor ones as the Vw ones are now deleted . There are a few on the market . Rob
