  1. Yes it was me on the ccgb page . Thought I’d put it up here too. Great info thank you.
  2. Morning everyone. I will be reading up on this at the weekend. Has anyone on here had this treatment to their car . You thoughts and any input would be appreciated. Rob
  3. Interesting about the battery. Mine is a 550 cca . I hope you get the miss fire sorted Jim . Once I’ve sorted my thermostat housing out , I will be trying to source my poor idle problems. I tried the Maf, but the engine started to stutter, so it’s not that.
  4. Yes please . Side piece and the two bolts Chris . Will sort out tonight . Thanks.
  5. How could I forget Chris lol . You have the bits I need then . How much with pnp mate ?.
  6. Thanks Si . Much appreciated , if there’s not a decent second hand set I will order it .
  7. The one above the dizzy if anyone has one please. I have never removed this part, I tried at the weekend as it would have been easier to snap the metal clasp on the dizzy cap back on . But not only did I not have a star bit big enough the bolts look knackered, I don’t think they will come out. So the plan is to cut the plastic so I can get to the head of the bolts. Hence I will need both the two bolts and the plastic please . Great condition please. Kind regards Rob
  8. What size are the heads ?. Surely there must be something that’s not held in place ?.
  9. Welcome along .Another 10 year owner here too . As said the MK4 golf upgrade is worth doing .
  10. Someone said yesterday they used it ?, maybe it’s up and running now .
  11. As said , it is a very desirable extra. They finish off the interior nicely. But they are a lot of dough . I will stick with my cassette holder, that does hold cassettes as I have a cassette player in my car .
  12. I’ve never seen a corrado rust on this part of the body personally. I’m not saying it’s not a weak point , but having had to sort out my car and from what I’ve seen on others , it’s usually inside the fuel cap , rear window, front screen. Post a pic up of the area .
  13. Yes it is . Obviously the screen is bonded so no water can get in the boot , but it does sit under the seal.
  14. Thanks Delfinis . I didn’t want to remove a good set , although faded and have to play around fitting another set . If I do purchase another set I will be treating them from day one . I realise it’s a lot to ask of a piece of plastic that sits outside in all weathers but the new rear caps I bought are looking poor too .
  15. Apologies if it’s been asked already. But are the karmanski parts a good fit?. I haven’t been following the two different types of manafacture as I purchased what I believe to be the last set from heritage a few years back . Unfortunately being purchased around 4/5 years ago they have faded though the rubber underside looks ok . Even Gtechniq won’t bring them up black now . I was lucky to be able to do karmanski a favour last year and he sent me a set of trims for helping him out .
  16. I guess I was lucky with mine then . Mine are on 155k . I suppose the inside bore can get worn ?. It’s a lot of dough for a new pair .
  17. Yep . Definitely replace both . I can’t remember where I got mine, without going through the receipts. Either Heritage or on Ebay , but they were more expensive than the ones in your pic .
  18. Can you not get a second hand pair and refurb them ?.
  19. It’s a shame TPS are trade only now . My local centre used to ignore it and still serve non trade to regulars . Not anymore.
  20. Sorry bud , the only one I have is broken too, must have been chucked in my box by mistake. Do you not have a mechanic that uses TPS ?, or order from VW .
