  1. Thats the part Sean yeah . I meant the stubbies . I think mine will need a good going over then , the mating surfice is a bit sketchy . Thanks mate .
  2. Evening all. As some of you know im sorting the underside of the car atm . I was going to renew the rear hubs , but is there any point if the new ones will rust anyway and end up like the set i have on the car now ?. I was thinking of rubbing mine down and painting them . Or do they make any now with some sort of coating on them ?. Many thanks , Rob
  3. Thanks for posting this . Great news that you have sorted it . I bought a second hand pump when mine was sketchy . As you know from my posts the problem has returned .maybe the return has failed on this one too .
  4. Interesting . I've been watching it since it was posted on here . It is true that people sell way to cheap . If I was to sell now , it would be up for around the 5k mark . I think that's a fair price for a looked after car .
  5. I read Mikes post on FB , about people slating him and his family . What an earth is wrong with these people ? .
  6. Great news . It feels like we've all been waiting for ages .
  7. Looks great Darren . Lego is awesome .
  8. Hope it all goes well for you Jim .
  9. With the cost of changing the chains etc , I'm so happy that mine have been done and a new head . Just over 50k on them now .
  10. That covering looks great Jim . I also suffer from large finger syndrome Chris ! . That or I'm getting old and forget how to spell .
  11. Nice one . Bummer about the injector clips mate . At least you spotted it .
  12. 20-30k though , that's a lot of dough . To much for me .
  13. Lotus Esprit , one of my favourites , from way back when my dad took me to see , the spy who loved me . I've always wanted one , sadly out of my price range .
  14. Mmmmm lovely new parts , nice . How's Marlow these days ? , I used to work there a lot , when I wasn't in London .
  15. Even if the pitting is quite deep ? . I've just looked again using the phone , on Corrado lighting it only shows 18 items , which is why I could not see them .
  16. Yes you are right Chris . How an earth i missed them i will never know , i was using an iphone , i must have just missed them . The only lights i saw were the early fogs . Never mind at least i know you can still get them .
  17. evening everybody . Now this is just a feeler .I thought i would look into this as mine are not cracked but are pitted and in poor condition .I have also looked at polishing products but im not sure if they would be able to be restored to their original state . Im in contact at the moment with a company who can make new lenses for the Corrado . I have some questions . Firstly how many of you would buy them ?, depending on prices of course .How much difference is there between early and late parts ?. I dont wont to get one or the other but the cost will increase if they have to make two seperate moulds . Mine is a 92 but a late car .I bought a set a little while ago and one of the lenses was loose i have just pulled it from the casing , im assuming that if a sharp blade is run around the edge of one that is sealed it will seperate from its holder .I looked on Heritage but could not find any indicators , looked in a few other places but i cannot find any ,i will ring Heritage to find out if they can get any direct from Germany , but i assume they are obsolete now . Obviously the repro parts will not have Hella embossed on them ,i have no wish to be sued. how does that sit with you ? Any thoughts Ladies and gents , would be appreciated . Rob
  18. Ok , thanks for the info gents . Looks like I will have to try and order a single comp cap off flea bay . They have various sizes on there of VW caps , I wonder if I could bond the caps onto the compomotive set , without it looking like a botch ? .
