It's not all that bad . We've all seen worse . I know how you feel though , it's a downer . Think positive and get it sorted . -

So the car is still lumpy after the leads have been refitted and tight ? . To check the coil pack , start the car in the dark . If you see a firework display from the pack this will explain the lumpy running . -
Thanks chaps . We will start looking this week .

It clips on to the ABS pump , you will see where it clips on . It supposed to be a sort of traction control that works up to 45mph . Only it doesn't ! .

Evening chaps . Long story short . We had our Mk5 Golf TDI stolen last sunday . The car has been recovered and is back in our possession . But we do not want it anymore , its an 04 plate with 100k on it . This has affected me and the Mrs . We just dont want a car thats been driven and ragged by some scummy lowlife .I have no knowledge of new cars at all !. We would like to buy a golf or an audi . The Mrs has to travel five miles a day to work in an A'N'E department . Other than that its just used for shopping and the like . So am i right in saying a diesel would be less ecconimical than a petrol considering the short mileage ? We love the Golfs and audi's , so which model would you go for if it was you buying a car ?. The A3 looks nice . Really appreciate any input from those who are more up on there modern motors than me . I think the budget will be around 8k . Kind regards Rob

The old girl is in on Monday for an oil change , new sump gasket and oil cooler rubber 'o' rings and maybe a new cooler if needed . The gearbox oil will be changed and a slight leak will be sorted as well . Ive organised a good clean of the bottom end to be included . This is normaly a job i would do myself but work is manic atm , i just dont have the time and its starting to drip on the drive which i obviously dont want . My birthday is coming up this month and i gave ''er in doors'' a little list , so im looking forward to new goodies for the underside . I bought a few more nuts n bolts the other day , inc the rear bumper iron bolts , so it will be nice to fit them as mine are shot .

Some companies dont do an agreed value Chuggs . Im sorry but you have no option but to speak to them all to get the best quote . Its been said a million times , but they do make it up as they go along !. I know that there are chaps on here younger than me [im 46 this month], with virtually the same mods and they get cheaper quotes , ring the same company and it come in more expensive WTF !. I live in a good area and have been driving since 1988. No accidents , claims or points . Cue a ball ache and many hours on the phone for you mate ,but its the only way . I dread it every year .

I'm still on this chaps . Work is stupid ATM and we've had our Golf stolen . This has affected me more than I thought it would and put me right out of sorts . I'm hoping to get there Saturday if they are open . Rob -
Great pic . I love anything to do with the Cold War .looking very sinister up there . This obviously played a big part during the 50s and 60s . Looking forward to other pics .

When I painted mine , I got the nearest I could to what looked like Mars red . It would be great to hear other peoples opinions on the colour . I want everyone to be happy before I get them printed . Edit , just googled it and it states Tornado red . -

Will do easy pops . Have you any idea on the colour ? . -
I visited the graffics shop today and the only option is the red VR6 badge . As you all know the Corrado script badge has rounded edges as does the VR6 rear badge . It's not a problem to make the vinal to put on the badge but there's no way , we can get it to stay on the rounded , chamfered edge . even if it did stick it would not stay on for long , there's just not enough area for the vinal to adhere to . I also looked at the swatches and the brushed chrome was way lighter than the original . So the only option left is the front VR6 badge . As seen on wheeler dealers ,this is no problem to produce , as it's flat . The vinal will stick straight on . Sorry chaps , that's all I can come up with . If anybody wants the red vinal I will be ordering these . The price is £15.00 because of the measuring and sorting the template ,they can be run off for around £2.00 each after that .If anybody wants a set , let me know and we can divide the cost between us . And if anyone knows the correct colour that would be great . The other option of course is that you can paint your badge . I wish it was better news but I tried .
