  1. Stupid question but have you replaced the oil pump Rog? Knocking noises, low pressure, and high oil temperature (poor circulation I guess?) - surely it's a strong contender for being to blame?

    263's and re-map

Nicely volunteered :) People always have suggestions for this kind of thing to be done, but no-one ever actually wants to step forward and do it ;)
  3. Karl - coincidentally a friend of a friend is looking for a Corrado at the moment and not that I'd like to see him get gazumped, but there's an extremely nice looking mystic blue Storm up on PistonHeads at sub 4k somewhere in the West Midlands. Has all the "right" mods.. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/volkswagen/corrado/volkswagen-corrado-storm-mystic-blue----------------1995/2719285
  4. Had the glovebox out before - it's not too bad. Just a bit of a wrestling match :)
  5. You're not having much luck with that car at the minute :( Good luck finding another!
  6. True I guess - get stuck in and it's not that bad. Plus the time flies along really. Found that doing my alternator for the second or third time! Still want to tackle it again too but it's getting a bit boring now ;) Well, perhaps if we do both attack it this weekend we can compare notes on the forum!
  7. My house has a garage but it's not really wide enough to open the doors to work on the car, or deep enough to store parts that I extract like the dash - but I can roll the car out a bit and work on it that way and therefore roll it back undercover if needed if it rains :) Just finding it hard to get excited about tackling it, that's all because of the amount of work involved.
  8. No not yet though the forecast looks reasonable this weekend - might brave it... :|
  9. Some of those links are awesome.. haha :) The list of available merchandise is viewable here: http://www.corradoclubgb.co.uk/ccgb16/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=517&id=5757&Itemid=190 Extremely tempted to buy some Cockapoo Club t-shirts.. lol.. Cheers.

  11. They're the gift that keep on giving. I still always laugh when water comes cascading through the window when you foolishly dare to open the window after it's rained and all the water from the roof & gutters makes a bid for freedom.. 10 years of owning Corrado's, and it still gets me every damn time.
  12. It's from your height adjustable steering column :) It means (unsurprisingly) it won't be sprung any more..
  13. Moved your post, John - think you accidentally posted it to a different thread :) (thread about MK4 rear calipers!).
  14. There's no doubt it was a top class car. Saw it a few times and it was genuinely jaw dropping. That advert really needs sorting out though!! :)
  15. They haven't.. think the owner of your car is chancing his luck!
  16. Get a compression check done, and get the coolant checked for presence of exhaust gasses, before spending money on a head gasket - it may not need it!
  17. Are Gruvenparts still going mate? I wonder if it'd be worth dropping them a line. Not sure what sort of warranty they offer as I guess it's been on the car a while?
  18. Had a super day at this yesterday and was so looking forward to today but got struck by some kind of bug or something and have been bed ridden all day.. utterly gutted. Glad the weather behaved today though for you Eric!
  19. Ron - I can erase number plates in Photoshop so don't worry about that :)
  20. It's just the pictures linked on the front page for some reason.. it makes my ESET antivirus get upset for some reason, and I've honestly never seen it block a website before!
  21. In the nicest way mate, you need to sort that out :| Corrado brakes are ****e for a car with
  22. My antivirus software is blocking the pictures for some reason, but there's a tonne of pictures in the blog. Fascinated to see the engine will be dry sumped too, not to mention fitted with the latest Garret GTX turbo... should be quite a spectacular machine when it's all finished.
  23. Holy crap, John! I hadn't realised you were undertaking this build.. amazing stuff!
