Have you checked just how tight the PAS belt is - if you pop the bonnet and press on it, how much slack is there (if any?).

There has never been a situation in all my years of ownership where I've been unable to get a part. I generally always try and go genuine first and if it's obsolete or prohibitively expensive, I'll resort to a pattern of some kind. So far, no real showstoppers.

It is a sad state of affairs.. but then you only need to look at what sorts of cars you can buy for the same sort of money and it's no wonder the Corrado market is a bit stagnant!

The Fiio stuff is pretty good - I have one of their smaller cheaper units and it's held up really well and does make a noticable improvement to the sound. Go for it!

Indeed. Petrol costs a lot less than say perfume / aftershave.. and I'm sure a lot more effort goes into producing petrol, than producing that stuff :)

I believe general reason for these more extended, recent price rises have been the continued fall of the pound vs the dollar as everything to do with oil is done in dollars. Frankly I have no belief that the system is being run fairly though and think we're being screwed through a combination of big oil companies, people in finance, and the government - it's in all their interests for the prices to be high, and this will only continue as more economical cars come onto the market and shortfalls in profit and tax need to be made up. But all we can do is bend over and take it.

Looks absolutely fantastic - Corrado suits red so well and yours looks to be in excellent condition :) What sort of mileage does it have? Worth mentioning though that the G60 was sold in LHD as well, so not a RHD exclusive or anything.

It is a ridiculous state of affairs. The government will do nothing as it means lots more lovely tax as they're taking a percentage rather than a flat rate.

Not expecting the owner to post up as I wasn't in a Corrado, but spotted a VR6 in a very TVR style purple flip paint waiting to pull out of a junction on the A10 (not far from Ely) yesterday at around lunch time.

Doesn't seem that bad to me.. I bet any modern performance VAG alternator would cost as much?
