Could you please post up your request for a refund if you have it? That is one piece of the conversation that's missing and the turning point where he seems to go off the rails - did you say anything inflammatory to him? Either way I agree the racist comment was unacceptable in any way and I don't think we can have that sort of thing happening here. Totally unacceptable.

They were working earlier but have since stopped working... not sure what you've done there mate! :)

2010 Octavia VRS (Facelift) Race Blue TSI DSG - £8950 ono
Jim replied to Hofmiester's topic in Cars for Sale [Other VAG]
Blimey that's a good deal.... should be easy enough to shift at that price! -
Looking fantastic. Also keen to know what you did to treat that rust, having a VR with a similar issue and not being flush enough to tackle a respray yet :(
-
I hope you're sitting down when you get the quote through - they are group 18! Nice to see someone as young as yourself who's not got the urge to start cutting holes in the car, and sticking body kits on.. your Golf and Ibiza look very clean too. Welcome to the forum :)

Where are you based? -
Agreed. Clifford alarms are fairly notorious.. :(

Looks Aqua Blue Pearl to me.. but that a resprayer hasn't matched the colors properly when respraying after an accident or something :(
-
They *look* like BBS RC's but hard to tell because they're painted black and the pictures are quite small :)

Sounds like the pre-cat emissions testing pipe which should have a rubber bung on the top of it to stop any exhaust leaking out! Car looks good for £300 - welcome to the forum!

If you could upload a video clip from a phone or something to YouTube might help with diagnosis! :)

I think that was, possibly, a bit too much money for something that seems to have had a bit of a hard life - but on the plus side, I'm glad it's been saved and going to get a bit of TLC now! Look forward to seeing progress on this one!

Through weird timing, I'm taking my Octavia VRS wheels up to these guys this morning.. took me a few attempts to get through to them in the week and even then they didn't seem concerned about "booking" the wheels in or anything - just said to bring em up whenever I wanted. So I'm a little on edge but a) have heard good things and b) for 120 quid they can't look any worse than they do now so... I'll report back on how it all goes!

Ugh :( Sorry to hear this.. look forward to seeing what you do when you get it back on the road though!

Did anyone see the episode the other night where he got the Boxster S for £1,000?! Had a tiptronic gearbox fault which was resolved with a gearbox oil and filter change and then was pretty much good to go. Mental. -
TSW Venoms! Did it just come out of a timewarp from 2001? :)

Wouldn't it make sense for them to roll the Scirocco and Corrado into one class? God knows the Corrado shares far more with the MK1 and MK2 Scirocco than the MK3 Scirocco does!
