You'd have to be well into the 550BHP-600BHP territory to even stand a chance, surely.. they weigh pretty much the same as a Corrado so you wouldn't have them on power to weight ratio, plus the DSG type gearbox as well. And forget it as soon as it came to a few corners!
-
Welcome aboard :) Theres a few folks from here in Nottingham :)
-
They would look the nuts on a Corrado! I look forward to seeing pics from anyone who buys them! :)
-
Not at all.. just requires one well built man who's willing to swing and hang off the damn glovebox to get it to come out. It's a total arse but it does go eventually!
-
He must have been driving like a complete and utter pillock! An excellent chassis, and 4WD and he still managed to wreck it?!
-
I just threw a duff old coilpack in the bin as well...

Rainsport 2's are excellent and astonishingly good in the wet. I'd highly reccommend them. In the mean time, you should continue the discussion in this thread please - makes sense to have a concise discussion about tyres all in one place: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?51313-The-Tyre-Discussion-Thread-please-read-1st-post Cheers.

Tis relatively easy to do - just time consuming. And definitely swap the heater matrix whilst you're at it - the ideal time to do that job!
-
Um.. apparently it's just basic, general access. I know nothing more than that! :)
-
I knew it was highly unlikely and I know it's all sponsors and friends type arrangement for getting access to such things.. but I do appreciate you offering to see if there's anything you can do :) Cheers.

I generally don't like to be quite so up front and brazen about asking for things, but I figure that the old mantra "you don't ask, you don't get" is the only rule that will apply here. I'm fortunate enough to have been bought a ticket to the F1 at Silverstone this year (on the Sunday) and will be going with my dad and (probably) future brother-in-law. Does anyone here work for an F1 team that would be able to swing something as amazing as pit lane access during the build up or any other similar perk? I've never been to F1 race before and can't wait - and something like that would be the icing on the cake! We've looked into hospitality prices but they're astonishingly expensive! If you do, and you can, by all means PM me rather than replying in the thread. I would be eternally grateful. Cheers.

Have you messaged Pat_McCrotch to see, on the offchance, these are available with Classic Parts in Germany?
-
Good things come to those who wait.. sure Graham will be able to get it sorted :)
-
Welcome to the forum :) Based on my experiences over the years my 16v did prove to be more frugal than the VR6 but not by a significant amount! I'd just say set yourself a budget and buy the best example of whichever model comes up in budget :)
-
Brilliant :) I'm more than happy for you to keep ownership of that seeing as you set it up :)
-
Um... no they wouldn't. I can tell you that even if I was ROLLING in money, I wouldn't put RS's on my car! I don't dislike them but I don't love them.
-
Did you get that cam belt issue sorted after it played up at the Rolling Road day mate?
-
Cool. Will take it apart next time I'm at the garage :)
-
Neil - regarding the piece of metal covering the rear number plate light, any idea if the piece of glass in there is still available? Mine has overspray on it and, incredibly, my MOT tester marked it as an advisory last year!!

Assuming it was dark, and the roads were not lit, it's a dark coloured car - and if the car is horizontal across the carriageway then they wouldn't have seen the head / taillights I guess. Glad you got out of that one OK - looks like a total horror show. I hope the drivers of the other vehicles were OK too. I know the consensus is always to just hit small animals for exactly this reason, but as you say, when something just bolts out in front of you unexpectedly it's a very natural reaction to try and avoid it!

Mate - there is a Watches classified section on PistonHeads, and lots of watch enthusiasts on there. Might be worth listing it on there and won't cost you owt...
-
Yep... Stealth are one of two VW specialists I'd consider using personally! They know the Corrado inside out! :) Your car will be in good hands.

Those wheels are terrible!
