I thought the 8v's did into the 40's? A VR will do mid 35MPG easily so wouldn't quite see the point of the 8v if they were no better?! :)

Indeed... the car was only ever engineered to do 150'ish... who knows what additionally stresses and loads are being put on the car at 200MPH. Scary.

Well I've already expressed my sorrow for you on Facebook mate but no harm in saying it again. Not a good state of affairs and you've certainly had your run of bad luck over the last few years. They say it comes in threes and what with your eye problem, the Nugget getting stoved in and now this, I think you've more than had your three. Time for some good luck and positive karma to come your way I think mate. All the best for a speedy recovery and I hope the incident doesn't put you off the cycling.. it could have been a lot worse and was a total freak of an accident, but I guess it does bring home just how fragile we are, when on the saddle!

If your dealer only let's you buy a minimum of . 20 then they're being eejits.. try another dealers!

It's never good to see a Corrado being taken out of commission but as others have said the main thing is your OH is ok, despite being a bit shaken.. fingers crossed for a decent insurance pay out! :|

Did you ever manage to get the fixed height steering column and the steering column surround off for me? :) I'm still eager to buy em.

The only type of Corrado I've never driven! Would love to take one for a spin at some point :)

Spotted a dark (possibly black) VR6 in traffic not far from Holborn Station in London earlier this afternoon - would have been about 1.30pm.. Was on foot so didn't wave or owt!

Fill it till you can't fill it any more. The fill hole is on the side of the gearbox and once you reach the level of the fill hole you won't be able to put any more in. You need 2x 1 litre bottles but you'll have some left over.

Yep - pretty much what Walesy says. I ran Corrado's as daily drivers for quite a few years (a few 16v's, a G60 and a VR6) and was only ever once let down by one of the 16V's after driving through a small flood and water got into the fuel system. It did sort itself out again and was back on the road but the only time I've ever had to get towed home by the AA in a Corrado. Get one that's been looked after and not screwed around with (forget about fancy mods, when maintenance and servicing have been sacrificed), and be prepared to do as much preventative maintenance as you can stomach costs wise.. and you won't go too far wrong.

Insurance needs a reform. Badly. It's gotten totally out of hand.
