Was gonna say, it wouldn't cost THAT much just to get a bumper painted. You've been waiting an eternity!

Gives you time to save up I guess! :) -
He's got that down to a fine art! Excellent!
-
Ditto. First time I've ever turned off a new episode before the end but I couldn't bear it any more.. it was toe curlingly bad!

The Fiat 500 is my daily obviously and I have to say I feel every day when I'm driving it I don't think much about the VR. However every time I get back in the VR, despite it being heavier and rattlier it just feels so special.. the sound, the grunt, and how LOW you feel compared to everything despite only a modest drop :)

Think if I wanted a big all rounder it'd probably be an older 3 or 5 series of some kind though possibly one with a smaller engine or diesel.
-
No. Different rev limits for a start.. you need the right clocks for the right engine and age of car.
-
Yep - total BS. Unless someone is coming to see you face to face and pay you cash, or a bankers draft, tell em to get lost.
-
Sheesh.. you don't half change cars often. RS4 is fantastic though.. looks lovely! :) Would love an RS4 or RS6 some day but would be terrified at the potential costs waiting for me!

Wendy - you should buy Yan's G60... I'd be up for the road trip to go and pick it up!

Good stuff.. I was going to suggest lambda as running badly, terrible economy and smoke is faulty lambda symptom - but also interesting to know it's a MAF symptom too :) Glad you got it sorted.
-
And not a bad thing really - will help but a stop to a lot of this crap. Have considered getting one myself just for my own backup / defence in the event of an accident.. they're not mega bucks.
-
I'm sure I've seen that.. possibly stuck on the black plastic HT guides or in that general area on the VR.. not sure!
-
It'd be worth replacing that as a matter of course. I also believe the "black box" (circled in the picture attached) has some involvement in or controls the fan system though I can't be more specific. It's only a single connector and a few bolts so might be worth sourcing a known good one off the forum and swapping that too.. I doubt they're available from VW any more and if they would probably cost a fortune!

Never seen / noticed that silver one before on any VR's.. very cool! It must have been fitted to something that was removed / replaced early on in the Corrado's life during servicing or something or alternatively was it simply just not stuck onto Corrado VR6's? Would be interested to hear from Chris Gaskell on this... :)

All the best! And hope to see you on here again in the future in another Corrado!
-
What was that company thinking of, taking in that car... horrendous! I should imagine they're gonna struggle to shift it!

Apart from Reidy - his car has crashed more times than a Spectrum ZX81.

Hope this is finally the end of people complaining about the Classifieds section. We've tried it with comments, without comments and now I think settled on a fair balance! -

1994 Corrado 2.0 16v Ice Grey Violet Pearl Build Thread
Jim replied to Rorgasm's topic in Members Gallery
I really think this is the best Corrado colour by some considerable margin.. you just never see cars in this kind of colour any more! I can't wait to see it after the paintwork :) -
Even on 16's with rubbish tyres I was astonished at how well my 16v coped in the heavy snow we had I think in 2009... I remember driving in along virtually untouched, thick snow covered roads and the car being very predictable and sure footed even on climbs. It was only defeated on one fairly steep hill when I had to back down and take another route. I remember getting to work and being one of the only people to have made it in, in my lowered sporty coupe! :)

I still think it's hard to beat the Solitudes but think the CH's are the next best out of all those - they're superb!
