  1. I'd like a decent set of Global kitchen knives, no doubt.. but beyond knives in the kitchen not quite sure what the fascination is with them really.. definitely one of those slightly weird interests, along with firearms! They're implements for hurting / killing people... I'm not keen to have anything like that in my possession thanks!
  2. Stick at it. You'd be surprised at how quickly you gain fitness when you get going!

I should get my one on eBay (same style with the raised lettering) ASAP by the looks of things..

These are still available from VW are they not? And I bet they don't sell for that much...
  5. The Corrado pickup has nothing to do with the Magnum - the pick-up was purely a Karmann "design study" / prototype and example of what could be done.

24V Renshaw is also super knowledgeable about this very subject!
  7. Doh - leather on hold. Did the deal with Purple Tom but something has come up meaning he can't do tomorrow... looks like it'll be Feb some time now :)
  8. I just never see them around... I can go weeks / months without seeing one, and I do a bit of driving around including trips up to various football grounds on some weekends. The closest I ever see on a regular basis is a MK2 Scirocco at work most days because it's my managers car! :)
  9. The icing on the cake will be when I finally get around to getting some bodywork sorted on it... new few months hopefully funds permitting :)
  10. Cheers all. Yes Rams.. its a full swap so seats and doorcards. Heated seats too :)
  11. Just a quick update - this Saturday the interior is being swapped over from black cloth to black leather :) Pictures to follow!
  12. I had a Koni STR.T kit on my 2.0 16v and it was pretty excellent for the money. The kit is a terrible colour (bright orange struts and blue springs!) but was reasonably priced and offered a very good compromise on ride height and ride quality. I got my kit for a good price from Stealth Racing so, worth looking into if you don't wanna spend mega money (was approx £250 I think).
  13. Any pictures chaps? You could block out names / card numbers, etc... happy to blur these details for people on photoshop if needed as I wanna see what they look like :)
  14. Funnily enough the only time I've consistently had my car called a Scirocco is in bloody tyre centres as well!

Well that depends I guess. I'd imagine £60 would be easily attainable.

If it's a 535 then yep, it's a Corrado part! And comes up in ETKA as "Cover for luggage compartment" so I'd say that's a cert!
  17. Supercharged has found out first hand about people travelling too close, and the Corrado being an idiot magnet. His Corrado TDI was rear ended pretty badly around the end of 2010 / early 2011. It took MONTHS to get put right properly.. finally all sorted, been back on the road six months and found out last night he got rear ended AGAIN so the car is going to be back off the road and back into the body shop. Utter joke. He was stationary, waiting to pull onto a roundabout as well!
  18. Only ever heard fantastic things about Man in the Shed... but that is if you can find him. He's a bit like the A-Team - trying to get contact details is a bit tricky!
  19. Nice one mate :) I look forward to seeing our yard at the CCGB national day!
  20. That looks absolutely sublime and very well looked after. Nice find!
  21. Indeed. Has to be the best specced 2.0 16v around, surely? Has to be kept as a great example of the model?
  22. Not just heated leather, but Recaro's.... they're pretty damn valuable mate! Looks like a lovely example and glad it's been saved!
  23. Hm... then the lengthy set of instructions I just wrote out probably won't help you. Stupid question but you've rebooted your router and everything? What happens if, from the command prompt you do the following: ping 212.115.44.66 You should get some ping returns saying "Reply from 212.115.44.66: bytes=32 time=34ms TTL=58" or very similar..?
