  1. I'll try and remember to do them later :)
  2. Price please? And from the pictures, it already looks like the car is in Australia :)

    Removal of ABS

I believe 1.8 16v's didn't have it - or at least, it was an option.

Didn't get to the car meet today as it was ****ing it down with rain. So no picture. Apologies.

    Auction

Agreed - the amount of grot you can see on the slam panel almost makes it look like nothing under the bonnet has ever been cleaned. I'd hope they'd tart it up before the auction!!

    Ed's black VR6

Yep - the rear Corrado badge / script. I'll double check the condition of it in the next few days as I know I've had a badge which was broken / glued but I don't remember which one it was so want to check it's not the one I'm offering you. If it's OK I'll drop you a message and we can sort out payment / postage.

    Ed's black VR6

I would recommend not spraying the rear Corrado badge. Good condition ones in the original brushed aluminium effect are reasonably sought after - so I'd just put that one to one side, and buy another one off eBay in a random body colour and spraying over that. In fact think I have one in Flash Red I'd let you have for like £10 delivered.

Argh - I totally forgot. I'm digging the car out to go to a local breakfast meet this Saturday - I will try and remember to grab a few snaps then. It's ideal too as it's parking on a large, level area of hard standing so should show the ride height correctly.
  9. I thought a garage had looked at the motor for you! Sounds like they didn't do a thorough job!!
  10. Car looked amazing, John :) Few more pics:
  11. Yeah I used to go years and years ago to watch Run What You Brung - I guess I'd just forgotten how cold it gets :) Also made me realise I'd quite like to take one of my cars up the 1/4 mile having never done it before.
  12. Funnily enough I saw a Passat R36 just the other day and was a bit excited as I know they didn't exactly sell a lot of them! Sure they make for a great daily.
  13. Apologies for not catching up with you again Darren! I sat trackside for a few hours and was so cold from the constant, relentless wind (and having not packed enough layers frankly), I just packed it in and went home!
  14. Worth dropping John Mitchell / JMR a line? Not sure how much experience they have with VR6's but having seen John's project Corrado today, they clearly know what they're doing down there!
  15. Good to meet you Gareth :) Wish I had bought some more layers though... It's bloody freezing!
  16. Think I would be embarassed to put mine is S&S. Will stick it out of the way in the public car park I think!
  17. Given some of the crazy prices being asked by dealers lately, that doesn't seem too unreasonable.
  18. I don't really think it matters that much - either will work fine. I would go for the larger capacity one though just to give you a bit more juice!
  19. Given the car a wash ahead of tomorrow so hope to put a few faces to some names I haven't yet met in my years on here.
  20. Forecast isn't good today :( Damn British weather!!
  21. Good luck folks! Please don't make this thread into a discussion - just PM me if you have any questions. Ta.
  22. Vince at Stealth Racing has very kindly offered a pair of tickets, to a lucky winner from either The Corrado Forum, or the VR6 Owners Club, for the British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone on the 18th September. Between us we decided that there will just be one winner from both forums, who takes both tickets - that way, you can get a mate to come with you, and won't just be going on your own. The rules are simple. Just post a message in this thread. You'll be entered into the draw. At the end of the deadline we'll put all the usernames of those who posted into a (virtual) hat and draw out a winner. Two things I want to say. Firstly, if you're a member of both forums, please just enter once - either at the VR6OC or here. Secondly, if you know you can't actually make the event / date because of commitments don't bother entering as it's unfair on those who could actually make it. Timeframes are tight (we just got the tickets today) so we're going to set a closing date for the competition of Monday the 12th September at 6pm. This gives us plenty of time to get the tickets to you! Good luck!!
  23. The overall ride height looks OK there but the rear does look marginally lower still.. and the fact you used lowering caps on the front to get it to look even tells me that it's not right. That and having to cut the bump stops too. I'd be trying to get in touch with Bilstein to see about getting the correct springs sent.
