  1. Sure. Not sure when I'll get around to actually swapping them, but I'll put them aside for you. I need to point out when I say they have "overspray" on them, one of them is significantly painted.. like a good inch or two into the arch, around about half the length of the liner!!
  2. You're one of the most unbelievably useful people to know, Chris :) That'd be terrific mate. Just let me know what you want for 'em :) Cheers.
  3. Hi folks.. I had some paint done on the wings of my Corrado last and annoyingly a significant amount of overspray ended up on the wheel arch liners. It bugs the crap out of me every time I have to look under there. Does anyone have a pair of these for sale for a 95 VR6? (not sure if they were different on early Corrado's..) and willing to post or bring to AGM or Stanford Hall? Thanks.
  4. Ah sorry my mistake. I was getting confused with the oil filter housing, not realising the cooler is separate. As usual, ignore me :)
  5. Is the VR6 oil cooler functionally the same? It looks quite a lot different to the one pictured (which I'm sure is what's used on the 4 cylinder Corrado's)
  6. Head gasket does seem likely. Have you had a compression check done?

    Bonnet cable

The cable would be a great place to start but parts for the whole system would be in demand I think (the trumpets, clips in the cabin, etc).
  8. Thanks for the positive comments on the pictures. After years of being stuck in the stone age camera wise for the last decade or so, decided just in time for the weekend to splurge on a decent digital SLR - I think it's rekindled an interest in picture taking as I *really* enjoyed having a camera again which can take good pictures so I look forward to taking and sharing more pictures from events / meets in the future. I've had experience with D-SLR's in the past so was able to get right back into the manual settings, etc which helped me get some OK pictures I think! In terms of cars.. well, it's my intention to gauge interest on the way out of the summer and into autumn for the club stand and try advertise it and get some really good examples of cars to put on the stand in time for November. So if your car is ready and you're able to drop it off Thursday and not need it again until Sunday evening (such is the commitment required for the Classic Car Show) then we'd be keen on seeing it! And it'd be good to get a 16v on the stand as all we ever seem to end up with is VR's! :)
  9. Likewise :) Hope to see you at some events in the coming year.

    hello

Was it you that I chatted to today about sunroofs on the Corrado Club stand at the NEC? :)
  11. Jim

    hello

Welcome to the forum :) What parts and what sort of advice are you looking for?
  12. Very kind, Rog. I'll see what quantity of stuff comes through and gauge it from there and let you know? The scanner I can use is a big multifunction device with a sheet fed scanner so in theory I can pile up the sheets and leave it to it.. but have never actually scanned more than one page at a time so no idea if it'll behave!
  13. Hello Paul. That's amazingly generous and whilst I can't promise to get scanning them immediately I do have access to a high quality scanner at work and could start on it over some evenings and will indeed share it all on the forum with credit to you, to say thanks. I am quite tied up all weekend at the NEC Restoration show but will drop you a PM layer tonight with my address. I would be more than happy to reimburse you postage costs, etc. Thanks again :)
  14. Good from afar.. just don't get too close. Stone chip city, rust, overspray.. you name it, she's got it :( It wasn't my intention to put my car on the club stand at all.. but again I think because of the time of year, and commitment for the car to be in the hall on Friday and not moved again until Sunday, not many members are willing to volunteer their cars :( Basically the same for all of the cars on there this year. I'm going to try and make a real push for folks wanting to show their cars for the one in November however.
  15. Depends if the chap is looking for money for these, or willing to donate them to the forum or similar. Would be happy to become custodian of them for the forum for the time being?
  16. Thought I should make a thread for this already as there isn't one yet. Been up at the NEC this morning dropping off and giving the Corrado a clean after it was recently re-taxed and re-insured. If you're heading up for a day be sure to pop by and say hello :) I'll try and take some more pictures over the weekend! edit - first few pics moved down into post below. Cheers.
  17. Often find the same. Often do long trips for various things (off to see family, football matches, etc) and basically never see a Corrado. But then sometimes you spot one just round the corner from where you live. They're really not very common any more at all.

Again I'm not going to resort to saying it's "terrible" - sometimes getting on with your life just has to take priority and we have no idea what's happened. It'd just be good to know what's going on, that's all.
  19. Sorry - didn't wanna turn your thread into a discussion about my car. The reality is there's a tonne of stuff needs doing, and the car needs a full respray as well as a full suspension overhaul. That's many thousands of pounds of work which really I'd rather put into other cars I've always wanted to own - M3, M5 for example. But similarly I don't want to rush into just dumping it and moving on again. Gut instinct says stick to the original plan of running the Fiesta for a few years (as I am really enjoying it) and just sit on the Corrado and see if the enthusiasm and desire to spend money on it comes back.

I would really like to understand what is going on as I've been a pretty good customer and like you have no idea what's happened. I'm totally sympathetic if the garage thing just wore thin and he wanted to move onto new ventures, but it sucks a bit to be stuck in the dark about it.
  21. Mine has just been reinsured and taxed again so I can use it.. but can't exactly say I'm enjoying it :| But if it was a Corrado meet, I'd bring it along.
  22. Don't we need to re-do the Rutland meet that we postponed anyway? ;)
