Nice one Chuck, the cars looking very well. I see you've removed the side mouldings as well? 8) Now I've seen your c, I can look out for it on the road. :salute:

Hi dubboy I've seen the grips advertised in magazines, a nice bit of chrome can lift the interior. I haven't seen any on a c but it should be straight forward to change. I think a previous owner must have stuck on the hand grip on my handbrake :x It should release when pressing the little nib underneath but, theres no way its gonna come off. It is frustrating because I can neither change the hand grip or, remove the grip to try and adjust the cables or tighten the centre console a bit. The console squeaks a lot and is very annoying.

944turbo S2 limited edition Convertable For Breaking (maybe)
dan replied to G60Jet's topic in General Car Chat
I suppose it all depends on how much it is gonna cost you! The rest of the car (judging by the pics) looks in cracking order. Do you intend breaking it or, maybe turning it into a project? Are there any more pics of the rest of the car? -
Hi Joby, There are many manufacturers of springs for the c like H&R, Apex, D&W etc but Eibach seem to be the best. They should lower the car about 25-30mm which is just about right imo. I fitted my suspension a couple of months ago and found it easier than I had expected so, I'd say go fir it. You should get the wheels aligned imeditately after you fit the lowering kit. Good luck

TomS, , welcome to the forum The VR6 because its a newer model is slightly more refined. It has 190bhp as standard, will cost £250 to bring it up to the 200bhp mark. It will cost considerably more to increase the power over 210bhp. The G60 has less power but it is also lighter therefore both cars power to weight ratio are quite similiar. Upgrading the G60 to 190bhp can be done for a few hundred quid. The last of the G60's had all the mod con's of the VR6 as well so they're very desireable and a bit more expensive to buy. If you're after power & tweaking ability then go for the G60. If you want power and refinement then go for a VR6. The G60 production ended in 1992 where as the VR6 production ended in 1995 so there's more chance on getting a fresher VR6. However expect to pay more to buy a VR6 which is group 18, where the G60 is group 17 (I think). Basicially it depends on what you want. hth

Not sure Paul but I think they're the same. Maybe you could check the eurocarparts web site for part numbers.

One more thing Robch, When you test drive a VR Corrado, do not expect the engine to run/sound as smooth as your current motor. In my limited experience I've always noticed that the 2.8 VR6 is a much smoother running engine. I've heard a few VR6 corrado's (storm included) and they always sound just a bit rougher. Anyone else notice this? Just keep this in mind. Dan

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. In my opinion Honda's are like tin boxes with good engines. Its Japanese nature to always try and improve things, they have built their economy using this ethos. However their excellent engineering skills comes at a cost, which is visual appearance. Any car Honda (or any other Japanese manufacturer) have designed has looked awfull (that includes the new Civic btw). I think they realise these designer problems thenselves and thats why they try and copy the European car designers. With all this in mind, would you expect a Honda driver to appreciate an almost visually perfect car from any angle such as the Corrado? No. So don't worry if a Honda owner disses the way your car looks.... take it as a compliment and say 'thank you'. :D

16" Azev's, mmmm, 8) thats what I'm looking for.... sounds like whoever sold you the car had impecable taste.

I thought the offset on the VR was ET35 btw. The VR6 Corrado is faster than the TT in both, 0-70 and top speed. :D

Well done Andi :D

Cheers guys, A few good days and we're all ready for the show's :D . Okay so its either inters, ccgb club national day or the Scotish vw-owners day. Still spoiled for choice :D ... and still undecided  . Each event appeals to me in its own way. I suppose the best thing to do will be, wait until the dates of each event are released and then work on that... we'll see ! Thanks again Dan

The question is 'Should I go to the GTi international or the CCGB AGM? I'd like to go to both but thats just not possible for me. Which one do you think I should attend and why? Cheers

Teah, I agree with you on the little triangle, it just stands out too much. I do like the look without the handles tho. The back of the car looks the business 8) . I cannot find fault with the back end at all, smoooooooth or what?
