The Corrado was not intended as a Scirocco replacement. It was just a coincidence that one was comming near the end its lifetime & the other was just starting out. btw, I hate it when people say 'Jes, thats a lovely Scirocco you've got there' :mad:

Thats right, all you need is five minutes & a star screwdriver. I drove the car upto my garage door, turned he lights on & aligned them up, using the horizontal lines on the door as a guide. hth

Yea Joe, very nice car there m8 8) The black does look cool (especially when its that clean. Although I've heard a few other black C owners complaining about how difficult it is keeping their cars clean. btw, what kind of polish do you use? The numberplate on my A4 is 'JMC 666', it used to belong to a fellow called John Mc Cartney.

Just name & shame that garage as much as you can although, you still need to be carefull he doesn't try & sue you for that as well :twisted:

Yeah, I think that C looks great but, I would still prefer the black grill. 2p

I think Kev got his to line up. He drilled out the holes a bit to allow some movement. Just thinking about the silver bit, I could give you some 'matt black' vinyl to cover the chrome. I'd need the exact width of the chrome. The matt black would make the lights look original. come to think of it I could cut the stripes any colour if you wanted to customise them a bit. The vinyl is good for 10yrs, & the beauty of it is that if you dont like it you can just peel it off :) If you take a look at http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4032, you can see the matt vinyl on my lights.

Just looked up your other pics. I remember now, your car had a nice shiny exhaust 8) I also remember you saying that its Flash red not Tornado red :oops: . I see your front grill is black now as well, is that a replacement grill or a black badge?

Very nice mate, I used to own a Tornedo Red C & absolutley loved the colour. The inpro's go really well with the red as well. 8) I don't think I've seen any previous pics of your car, what are they under?

Hi all, just a thought :?: I seem to remember reading on the net, about a sequential gear box being available for the Corrado. When looking down their specification list they showed their replacement box for the C, which is type 02A I think. And unless i'm mistaken the TT shared the same cable system. I appreciate that the TT box is a much improved version of Corrado cable shift but, is there any chance they could be swaped? What I'd like to do is get a TT cable system from the scrap yard & fit it into my C Any ideas ?

When you're used to driving your VR with the standard air filter you get a feel for the noise & power levels of the engine. Thats why, when I fitted a Pipercross induction to mine I was very dissapointed :? . It felt like 'all show & no go' if you know what I mean. There was too much noise & if anything less power. I was embarrased to put the foot down when someone was in the car with me. One week later I took it off & gave it to a m8 who had a Vento VR. Sometime later I bought a 'Jetex' panel filter from Awesome for £35. I have to say that I do like the sound of the engine now. Its just a little deeper than standard with no loss of power. I suppose its just down to your own personal preferance... 2p

I'd say you would have to replace the foam with a polished aluminium (looks like mirror), as chrome would be v. expensive & mirror would be easily broken. Its unlikely that you can get ones to fit the c, if not you could make your own. You can buy sheets of the aluminium from stockosts (trade price approx £55 for 1220 x 610 x 1mm). Then you make a template of the sections under the bonnet & cut the sheet to suit. You would probably need to secure the aluminium with a 2 part acrylic adhesive. Let us know how you get on (I've ticked the 'notify me' box on this thread)

Welcome to the forum, The Turn2 kit seems to be the best for the VR6 according to most members on here. You'll have to get some pics on here soon

Cheers Matt, The indicators light up as normal, its only when they're switched off they look slightly darker. This is due to the thickness of the black strip (3.5mm) & the positioning of them (on the sort of least reflective sections). It took me about 2hours to apply the vinyl stripes & didn't cost me a penny :) . As I said, they passed the MOT last Friday :D The wheels are 16" replicas (although made in Italy) taken from the Audi RS4. The offset is just right I think, really helps their appearance on the Corrado. I got the wheels for £400=VAT from a supplier in N Ireland 8)

Good question ...although between us, we should be able to source matching blue bulbs.
