  1. Yes Lanny, thats what I said to him but he insisted that I needed to reduce the offset in order to clear the caliper ...just when I thought I had that offset stuff sussed  Sefton, I think my problem could be sorted like yours i.e. with different offsets front & back. As I said I've already fitted the back rims & they look great. I'll run that by my supplier to see what he says. Cheers guys
  2. I bought them from a local Wheel supplier in N Ireland called 'Tyre & Safety Centre'. They said that they imported the wheels from Germany. My supplier gave all the details of my car to the supplier in Germany & that it was up to them to supply the right offset etc. the wheels came machined to suit my hubs with no need for plastic inserts, so some thought did go into the deal.
  3. Hi all, Well on Saturday I finally got the call to go and collect my new Azev A rims :) Left for the 105mile round trip & brought back my lovely new rims. Got new rubber on them & fitted them myself, well the back ones anyway. The front rims will not fit as they're hitting the callipers :x . The supplier said that he is sending me some spacers to see if they will solve the problem. What should I do? should I tell him I want the proper wheel offset or are spacers ok? The wheels he gave me are 7.5 x 16" with a 30mm offset, also the box was marked 'VW VR6'! Anyone know what the offset should be with the Azev A rim??
  4. Definate thumbs up from me 8) 8)
  5. I'd rather see some black showing on the front of the c as well.
  6. Hi Kevhl, Welcome to the forum.... If your getting a Corrado exclusively to race then I'd suggest buying a late spec VR6 (wider track in later models), stick in a 20V turbo engine, fit a set of koni coilovers & some 17", with 35-40mm tyres &away you go
  7. 1994 M VR6, Dark Met. Blue, 74k, full black leather (standard), £5000
  8. Yes, I'd prefer that (nice & original looking) Although you can count me in for whatever is chosen :D
  9. Anyone here know of a rolling road anywhere in Ireland?... cause I don't
  10. Nice one again Kevm I had problems with my controls last year. I left it with my (ex) VW specialist to get it fixed. He had it for 10 days, found so many problems, fitted several new parts, charged me £40 & still did'nt fix it. I ended up taking the car with half the front dash sitting on the pasenger seat.....grrrrr Anyway on the way home I stopped in with the local VW breaker & bought the fascia controls from a Passat. When I took them home & compared them to the c controls I found a few small differences, so I thought they were no good. So I refitted my original controls & everything has worked since :D Don't ask my why but, I think the problem lay with two of the round controls being switched. This does make a difference as the little nicks at the back are different in the controls. Seeing Kev's post now tells me that the Passat controls I bought may come in useful in the future :D
  11. The genuine replacement hose vost me 106 euros. If it goes again I'll be replacing it with a full 'Samco' kit costing about £130. Im not sure on the coolant/ distilled water ratio although I remember reading it in my corrado handbook. As Rams said, it is very important to flush out the system when changing coolant.
  12. Yeah, very nice m8, I think you've done well with your styling, not too much 8)

    Koni coilovers

I have the Koni coilovers fitted to my car & I find the road holding to be EXCELLENT but, even at the softest settings there a bit stiff for my liking. I adjusted mine up & down to try & find the best set up. I found that raising & lowering the ride height made little or no difference to the ride comfort. Kerr plunk!
  14. Is that the hose that comes off the top of the rad. & has 2 or 3 'T' branches on it? If so, all you should need is a pair of vice grips to loosen the clips & a little determination. I changed mine last year & it took me about 20mins.
  15. I'm waiting on a set of Azev A's (in the post). Need to sort something out with my rear light clusters Have to find & fix an irratating oil leak And then I swear I'm finished messing with my car
  16. Has to be.... Ferrari Testorossa, Lamborgini Countach, Porsche 911 & either the McLaren F1 or Jaguar 220 kerr plunk!
  17. I recently had a run in my mates RS Focus :) It was a terrific car to drive, having great handling & power although not overwhelming. The handling felt familiar to me, very like my own corrado (on Koni coilovers) in fact. But I have to admit, overall I still prefer my Corrado .....Seriously
  18. Hey KooradoG60, Your car looks very fresh.... must be due to your good climate 8) Like the wheels btw
  19. Looks good Paul. How's the ride quality since the change?
  20. Very nice Cheesy, My favorite parts are definitly the wheels 8) , the door handles & rear window spoiler. What are the wheels? (really suit the corrado). What are the door handles from & do they work ok? Dan

    Awesome GTI

The glue is probably for sticking along the underside of the eyebrow to the car. You have to fix the eyebrow at each end so, the glue will save you from drilling into your headlight surrounds as well.

    Dicky Bird Problem

Thanks again sor the sound advice guys It was the battery... I checked the cells & found they were low in water. I topped them up with 'Ballygowan' but, the problem was still there although not as bad. So I got the battery checked and found that one of the cells was knackered. Fitted a new battery & 'hey presto' :D Its nice when you get a problem solved :D
  23. You leave the car in garage..... the garage gives you a 911 courtsey car for your troubles. Next day (Wed) the garage phones you up & say 'we worked late last night on your car & got it finished, you can come & collect it now.' When you arrive at the garage you find your car ready washed & valeted n'all. The garage man says 'Oh, thats right we fitted your two hoses as well, I won't bill you for that' & smiles. Carlsberg don't do garage work, but if they did, it would... ......
  24. Your car looks really fresh Chris. How do you find the door handles to use?
