  1. Yeah, those particular wheels are 5 stud. I'm not sure if they're available in 4 stud fitment, I can ask if you like! Yes Kev, in real life the car is satin silver. I just can't take a photo that shows it properly. Heres a close up of the front wheel & arch

    Yes or No?

I'm not sure either :? Its not bad looking but, I wouldn't drive it.
  3. Well as some of you already know I've had a few problems in getting the right wheels for my C. I wanted those 'Azev A's' so bad but, they just wouldn't fit. My car was up for the MOT last Friday so I had to get the new wheels with new rubber (my old tyres would not of passed MOT) for that. The shop where I got the wheels from onlt had two types of 16" wheel to fit, the 'S2' & 'RS4' so I decided on the RS4's (same as Andi's) My pictures always turn out too dark with the digital camera. When I try & fix them in 'Photoshop' they are better but don't do the car justice. Anyway heres the new wheels
  4. Nice one Bally, Welcome to Corrado ownership :)
  5. Really sorry to see that m8 Can imagine ..I have nightmares about that sort of thing happening all the time. On the bright side ...the damage may not be as bad as it first appears

    Healthy ISV ?

What is the problem with your car? I think the ISV is too big to blow through! You just need to take it off the car & soak it overnight in some carburetor fluid.
  7. Yeah. they'll soon be at a realistic price.. I'll buy one when they're about £1200. I'm fed up paying extra for everything just because its for a Corrado 2p
  8. I've always liked the look of your car Henny, always nice to see some more pics 8) Good luck with your venture, sounds like you could be in for a stressfull few months... :)
  9. I know that there are different set-ups between the G60 & VR6 as dtandard, the G60 being about 10-15mm lower.
  10. Take it from me ...the Azev A will NOT fit on a VR6 C. Its due to the design which is slightly dished. They fit beautifully on the rear but foul the callipers on the front. I had a brand new set & had to give them back :( . Anyway, I now have a set of 16" RS4 wheels on which are perfect for the car size wise, offsets etc. They're not bad looking either :)
  11. Yeah, I've seen some articles on this concept. I think its a very, very nice sports car. I also think there is a market for it & at around 16-17k I might buy one myself . VW came up with the concept to replace the gap left when they discontinued the Corrado. Thumbs up from me 8)
  12. Many of the aftermarket alloy wheels now come with what is called a 'double fitment' that is the holes are slightly ovaled therefore fitting both the VW & Audi.
  13. Anoying yes but, don't panic. You could now be in danger of buying the first C you come accross. Take your time & as my old grandad used to say 'if its for you, it won't pass you'. Good luck

    not so good

Have you put your C on the rolling road yet? What bhp/ torque do you get from your enging?
  15. Cheers guys, The car is in my garage with two 'azev's' on the rear (looking perfect btw), the problems start with the fronts. Yes Henny I know what you mean, I've seen many G60's with this wheel on but, the G60 must have a different calliper. Kev, the offset on these wheels is ET30 & they are fouling the callipers. My supplier gave me 5mm spacers to try and as you pointed out, they are now sticking out past the arches :x I thought long & hard in choosing the Azev A for the C. Now I see them on I'd really like to keep them but it looks like they're gonna have to go back :( I'll check out the 'Stil Auto, sigma' if not then, maybe I'll go with the 'Borbet C' Thanks again, Dan
  16. Well thats what I've been told by my supplier, he said that they will fit but only with 10mm spacers  Does anyone know different or, anyone know of a VR6 with Azev A's fitted? Please help if you know as this is really pissing me off

    newbie.....

Hi Rob, Welcome ...nice looking car m8
  18. I think they're about £20 from the dealer.
  19. My mate has a fit 1.8 16v C in Tornedo red. He was telling me that he had a bit of fun with a Toyota Starlet turbo. He said that the little Toyota suprised him with its power in fact it passed him while they were negotating traffic. I did give him some stick about it & he told me that it would probably be as quick as the VR6 & quicker through the gears. Anyway the other night I was travelling on the motorway doing about 50mph sitting behind a Celica hogging the fast lane. When I saw these driving lamps comming fast behind me. It was a black Toyota Starlet, he passed me & then pulled in front of me passing the celica in the slow lane. He was travelling fast, I could hear the whistle as he went by & the stones bouncing off my bonnet :x We were then approaching a roundabout & he turned off in my direction. Then I thought what the hell, I followed him for a while then he pulled into the slow lane. I wasn't sure wether I should try & pass him or not but I did. He stayed back for a few seconds & then he came. I knew he was looking to race as he flashed his lights a few times. I went into third & pulled out into the fast lane but again there was someone already overtaking. By this time my mirrors were filled with this little Black car. When the car in front pulled off the fast lane I pressed hard on the accellerator still in third. 100mph in third & I started to pull away from him, which felt very good. 125 in fourth & I was pulling away even faster then he flashed his lights again & slowed up. I remember thinking on what my mate had said about the turbo Starlet & grinning to myself. So thats my first race in the C & I must say I quite enjoyed it. :D So I guess you could say, this time 'the car in front is a Corrado' :)
  20. I'd say having it serviced with a good VW garage is essential. i.e. plugs, oil, air, fuel filters, fresh oil etc.. possibly fresh coolant change. Head gaskets can go anytime after 80,000. Clutches have a similar life expectancy, as do the front engine mounts. A head gasket set will cost approx. £85 + fitting New clutch is about the same Front engine mount £75 - 80 + fitting Uprated front engine mount Approx £140 Also try and familiarise yourself with the car under the bonnet, they're not as complicated as you'd expect. HTH
  21. Mine sits around 96 normally. Maybe rising as far as 104 with fast driving or in traffic

    newbie car

Welcome Buz, Thats a great looking example you've got there. I think that colour is not unlike the new RS Focus 8) Not sure on the chips for your car but you'll not go far wrong with AMD
