I think a smoothed front bumper with fogs left in would be 8)

The biggest problem with mounting the plate lower is that it will disturb/lessen the air intake into the engine and that's not a good thing.

A number plate is made using three things, a reflective backing, the text & a clear plastic 3/4mm face. The plastic just gives the plate some body/strength but the law doesn't specify that the plate has to be solid. Thats just the way they've been made for years. I work for a sign company and we make number plates etc. for vehicles. What I'm suggesting is just to make a number plate reflective sticker & apply/print the text & add an optional clear laminate. The plate will only be less than 0.5mm thick & would look better on a smoothed front bumper. That's what I would do if I smoothed mine.

A lot of work there mate :notworthy: It'll all be worth while & now is the time to do everything you can think off. Did you know that you don't have to use actual plastic plates for number plates! All you need is the text to be on a reflective background. This is easily done by applying or printing the text on to reflective self adhesive vinyl cut to the size of a standard plate. Just thinking that it would look well on your smoothed front bumper
  6. To be honest Rams, if you wanna do do some mods to your car you should consider selling the Storm first. If you sell the Storm now it will make you enough to buy a good low mileage, high spec VR6. I'm all for tasteful mods but once you mod a Storm its value will drop to around that of a normal VR.
  7. How do they come out again Gareth? I was thinking about colour coding mine
  8. WOW! where are all these coming from? :notworthy:
  9. Changed my clear side repeaters to 'Crystal' ones, much better :) getting ready to wash the car now... Almost forgot... just got it back from having a full interior valet £60. Looks like I'll be making do with the cloth seats for another year at least :) Adjusted the gear change slightly cos it was a bit notchy goint into first gear. Very little room for error making sure the change is good going into first & going into fifth. next...
  10. Cracking looking car mate :notworthy: , do you not have any rubbung issues? I ask cos mine isn't that low & mine rubs the arches :(
  11. any pics? I'm probably going to do this someday but unsure yet as to what colour to get Are these the right ones? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-RED-LEDs-5000- ... 3893wt_912
  12. You're best to get it oversized because you'll need to wrap it over the edges of the lights (the back ones anyway) and then trim it up using a sharp knife. So you'll need approx 150 x 300mm to cover each top half section of the back lights. It all depends on what size the Laminex comes in, you know you'll need approx 150 x 300mm (x4) but you should look for something like 300 x 600mm & that would be enough to cover all the top halves on the rears (not allowing for mistakes of course). I don't know about the fronts, haven't done any before. I assume their not specific to each car lights so just measure where you want to cover & add maybe 20mm all round just to be on the safe side.
  13. The Fiat 500 has got rave reviews. Not sure when they went into production though
  14. Clean motor you got there mate :) Seen these alright but they were always around £40 - £50. How much did you get it for? Also I was wondering what colours these come in cos if I got a silver one I'd probably buy it
  15. Nice car you bought there mate 8) You should also have a look at this thread for some ideas viewtopic.php?f=17&t=94492
  16. I like one of the blues... don't know the name though, think it's Aqua. The dark one anyway. 2. Satin Silver 3. Blackberry 4. Sherry Pearl 5. Tornado Red I used to own a Tornado Red 16v. It does have a tendancy to go pink, but when it's polished :luvlove:
  17. Lovely car mate... love those wheels. Haven't seen those on a rado before 8)
  18. The S4 advant is an amazing car & one that I'd love to have one day but there is too much bad history going on with that one. S4 advant, yes. That one, no. Just my 2p
  19. Cheers Paul, they're looking good or your VR. it's a long story but I ended up buying RHZW1's for my VR instead. To be honest The Rh's were my second choice but I couldn't get either Azev A's or C's to fit. probably because I live in Ireland so there's not as many suppliers over here. Seems that the definitive answer to this thread is that 16" x 7.5 et35 front and et25 rears will fit on the VR6 :D If I'd only have known this 7 years ago
  20. One careful Lady owner... yeah right
  21. Nice feeling when they pass the MOT, congrats on that. Makes you fall in love with it all over again :luvlove:
  22. My brother has an A5 but it's more like a Grand Tourer than a Coupe. They are a big heavy car and you know it under hard braking
  23. Can't deny it lads but... the Audi is the better car 8) it depends what you're needs are. Do you follow your heart or your head? Have you seen the Corrado estate yet? :)
  24. Bummer... did you leave feedback yet? You should be able to send them back if ones no good
