i love the g60 engine thats why i chose it when getting a corrado - i had a rallye in 2000 and it cost me a fortune as it was just at an age that everything started to go wrong - abs pump various sensors suspension etc but worst of all was the exhaust as i like my cars as vw intended the cenre box alone was £1000 - BUT I LOVED IT and regretted having to sell it as it was sitting outside and where i lived car thieving scum operated. it was well speced with electric recaros etc - cant believe asking prices today as i sold mine for peanuts its the g60 for me - just love the noise.

hi Angus with regards to traders (not all) you will find that they offer poor prices for your car finding faults and within a few weeks you find the car advertised at an inflated price keeping genuine enthusiasts out interesting number plate that was once on the car - probably worth more than the car today try to get a few pictures up. here is a great site to advertise on with many genuine enthusiasts
-
hello Angus. sorry to hear about your loss I'm from Belfast and I am a Corrado owner (sorry fanatic) as above it all comes down to its condition, spec and what it will cost to put it back on the road. six years for a car to be off the road is not good. has the car been kept in dry storage? it may be in your best interest just to advertise the car and people who admire these cars will come to view it and make offers to purchase it.just be aware of traders

could be worse. it could have been an Austin allegro or Morris marina
-
great video. nice to see a Corrado also. from the landscapes I would guess it's Scotland or ireland

I purchased a new old stock one for £150 several months ago and 10mins after fitting and driving with it it was reduced to 85mm!!

thats the fluid my local vw dealer sold me for both my mk2 16v and my g60 - no problems to date!

After many years i finally got my g60 back on the road although the car was motd for the first time in over 10 years in july i could not drive it as i went to the post office with my mot cert, insurance cert etc only to be told my car is not on the data base? i had my log book with it in my name as i registered it in my name in 2011 but was told i would have to register the car again and would take around 6 weeks for a new one to arrive.(was not aware of any changes) the new log book arrived but i did not want to spoil my gleaming new paintwork as it was raining so this weekend was dry and took it out for a drive and love it still got a few internal trim rattles to sort as i had completely stripped the car. one thing that amazed me was how savage the rev limiter is on these cars not that i tend to do this but just wanted to see how it performed on a strait empty road. the mot man at the center remarked how he had not seen one in years and opening the bonnet said someones spent a few quid here and once the car was up on the ramp got another mot tester to come and look at it and as he hand me back the keys he could only find one fault one side of the had brake needed adjustment (i forgot to do this)but it still passed and he said they are the best brake pipes ive seen in a long time. WELL PLEASED. in the future the engine is going to need a rebore as i noticed that as i removed the cylinder head a ring is starting to appear at the top of the block but having no time or funds to do this at present but having driven it this weekend it still performs as it should. this one is a keeper

back in 2010 my g60 only cost £150 more than these gauges!!!
-
like something as a certain vehicle out of back to the future movie!!
-
if everyone switched to electric cars the country would be bankrupt overnight and the government would have to reconfigure the whole tax system in order to raise revenue can't believe they would drop 3 door cars maybe it's due to our ageing population!!! struggling to get in and out of 3 door vehicles there are some very smart / intelligent people out there who could invent fuel as a direct replacement for petrol!!!

Converting a kr engine form 1.8 to 2.0 and i believe i need this shaft to cut down any machine work to the kr one part number 053115017C must be willing to post THANKS!
-
its just a fact that the parts for these cars are drying up and parts are becoming more expensive as time passes. if I had the money in would be buying multiples of everything and in the future sell them for extorionate amounts of money and retire to the sun!!!
-
i paid £40 for a new rear chrome badge a few months ago from a parts supplier in germany
-
never used Facebook either - don't trust it at all and never will (part of big brother watching you) as mentioned above just seems to be full of bull s@@t and people abusing other people Forums all day long although big brother may still be watching you!!
-
you have been seriously unlucky with the cars - with new cars the trend seems to be either you get a good car or a poor car don't know why? with regards to dealers some offer excellent aftercare service and others just want your money and run At least with an older car if it goes tits up you can just scrap it and walk away by the way that is a very nice looking corrado there very jealous
-
i will try to do once i have it completed hopefully next month - never uploaded pictures before and i am absolutely hopeless with computers (find them really boring) i stripped mine completely new paint etc
-
hello from up here in belfast - 92 g60 owner my car is 99% complete (just need wheels refurbed with new tyres) all as above has said especially the cost of genuine replacement parts (if you can find them)
-
i just changed the headlight over and all is working fine so just going to leave well alone i suspect something must be broken/loose inside the headlight
