with being off work and the weather being good for a change i have began to strip a corrado 16v that i bought for the bbs wheels it literally is scrap but will strip any bits of that i think may be of interest. it must be one of the first 9a corrados with early interior and late exterior The sunroof is raised at one side so i assume it is kaput THe front indicators and fogs were already gone The front door lower window seals have shrunk and split no good but would make good templates? i have managed to remove the fuel pump housing and strip it and it is intact with no splits in the usual places one of the mounting feet is weak but it is intact - part number 535201043 - these are on ebay for silly money i will take £70 with £5 postage you will not be disappointed not the usual crap on ebay ECU - 0261 200 858 / 8A0 907 404CC £40 with £5 postage. Instrument clocks - 535 919 035 AH. showing 149k - £35 with £5 postage i have stripped the front seats to make a set of good seat foams to keep hold off and the cloths are in good order with no holes but in dire need of a good clean they are an unusual pattern that i have never seen before may be of use to someone i can forward pics if interested. i will strip it further as like a lot of people i am off work during these dark days and the weather is good for a change if any one wants anything let me know and i will see what i can do

Those fiat coupes were pretty cars but they seemed to disappear very quickly off the roads -
i find that trying to find someone who carries out good welding work is what is difficult now. the last car that needed quite a bit of welding was carried out by a local elderly gentleman who has since passed away and his work was first class and took a great deal of pride in his work and did not charge excessive amounts of money. he even did work for a local german prestige dealership who look after older cars for long term customers who would not trust their own bodyshops to carry out repairs. A lot just cover up the rust! That price you got quoted is what i would expect going through insurance which we all know is a racket!
-
i paid £2700 for a complete respray 3 years ago (flash red) i stripped the car completely, the body shop removed the rear side windows the tail gate screen remained just removed the seal. i removed the windscreen myself as it had been a badly fitted replacement with so much sealant it was stuck to the A pillar trims.i carried out some minor welding repairs to the rear sill / wheel arch joint. There was the usual shopping trolley dents and a crease in the rear bumper which were all repaired The level of finish was excellent and still looks as good today although the car does not get much use. At the time when he delivered the car back the bodyshop owner had under priced the work a little as the car took longer to prep as the old paint kept clogging up his sanders. This guy knew his stuff a quick walk around my car and he could tell which panels had seen paint in the past .

hydrogen will be the future - and its free and available everywhere Honda tested it several years ago but no doubt it will be buried by DARK FORCES no doubt when the petrol engine becomes extinct as it will do i believe classic cars will be retro fitted with hydrogen/electric motors -
cant believe this Keyo - after all that effort to get your car to that level and now to sell it!!! all i can say is that you will regret it - but if it is for financial reasons then needs must! Sad times mate -
