i had trouble bleeding the brakes on my car i have an ezi bleed and struggled with it
in the end i borrowed a professional kit which was more successful
make sure the level in the reservoir does not go below the min
my problem was as i opened the nipple it was drawing air through the nipple thread giving the impression of air in the system
My brake pedal was quite spongy after bleeding but a few days driving the pedal firmed back up again
not long after i bled my brakes though my brake pedal suddenly started dropping to the floor - not good while driving the thing first i replaced the slave cylinder which did not cure it as it turned out to be the master cylinder that was at fault

Alfa romeo integrale ?? Never seen one of those!! -
As above see attached video my put my car away for the winter but i start it generally once a week and let it idle until it reaches temp around 80 - 90oC Before i put it away for the winter i give it the usual oil change etc. In the days prior to this i did notice it did not like cold starts- it would start and after several seconds it would stall but another attempt it was all fine and settled to constant idle However this afternoon the above happened and i left the car for 10 mins and upon returning the car haunting / idleing as per video (sorry no noise) between 1000 - 1500 revs Stopping and restarting the car made no difference i disconnected the blue temp sensor made no difference any ideas where to begin sorry it will not let me upload the video - i 48,83MB max - Strange thing is that if i just touch the accelerator the car will rev like never before - the slightest touch and the car will rev to 4500 revs and beyond. Thanks

The mk2 golf i would say was pretty rare in the USA as they were the opposite to us and they chose the Jetta saloon over the golf hatchback -

Did not know quantum made other oils - i actually thought vw owned quantum tbh. - years ago the name was everywhere at dealerships i have never seen the quantum name on any other oils bar vw i have learned something new today thanks fendervg

Called to my local vw dealer to buy my usual synta oil for the g60 only to be told its NLA They ordered it for me through TPS - but that is only while stocks last Pity because my car has had it its entire life they sell 5-40 as a replacement but they agree that its to thin for an old engine like mine The parts guy was surprised as it still sold well today was cheap as well which is unusual for anything vw - they charge me £17.00 all in for 5 litres
-
does anyone know the part number for the following oil pressure sensor it is located on the braided charger line at cylinder head cannot find it on etka and vw dealer cannot find it either - its brown in colour my own has decided to ooze oil

found a vr6 for sale today here in n ireland found it by accident in small add in paper (old school advertising) - had to go and have a look car started a engine sounded good but did not drive it has a large folder of history quite a few rust sports on tailgate and starting to appear at top of screen sunroof just tilts, sills good bit of wear on cloth seats, cracked fogs bought as a resto project but buyer apparently found a mint car not long after purchase person selling it on his behalf is a classic car fan (has a mint 2002 bmw) car started life in scotland before arriving on this island seller is a real gentleman and easy to talk to - i am sure he will listen to any serious offers i can pass any details on
-
join the long long long long queue for these parts - add your name to the list on here hoping vw will remake these You may be able to find one but remember these are generally coming almost 30 years old and past there best and will not seal correctly
-
All corrados rust there at least you have caught it early water/moisture gathers here due to the curvature of the sill- this area i find is well undersealed and you will not notice it until you put your finger through it, not a hard repair if caught early and also you can treat this area from the inside behind the rear door card to give extra protection - plenty of waxoil.
-
If i can help i will Keyo Rotten lowlife - both those who carried out the deed and the insurance company.
-
my alarm consists of a chain and padlock - so far so good where i live the favourite method of car theft now is creeper burgalry - while you sleep
-
i used the replacement vw stuff (d314 dd38 m2) on sections of my corrado several years back - it was expensive but it has a very short shelf life from what i remember coverage was good as i actually ordered far to much at the time it is much tougher than the original stuff and by that i mean more solid stone like in fact and is paintable.

i have seen a few citi golfs (not r line) for sale but they have needed resto work - usually inner wings for some reason and possibly not for our climate tbh. vw are apparently considering a new version called the golf light - a budget golf aimed at countries like south africa -
always good to see another G60
-
cant see how they can put a cat marker on it if it has not had an insurance pay out of some sort? is the original reg not known?
-
yes the 16v golf will easily beat a rallye (standard) but a 4 wheel drive golf is a unique experience when thrown about 9
-
wow that is serious money for that car even with that mileage and colour remember the golf rallye was a total failure for volkswagen and having owned one you quickly get used to the left hand drive but with switching vehicles i was caught out several times especially at petrol stations going to the wrong door after paying!
