congrats to the Corrado owner 8) . I love it when that happens. I take it was a VR6?? Timo.
-
That audi is actually £35k...... What a waste of money especially if you get beat by a 3.5k VW. Ha ha   Timo.
-
Thanks to 'dinkus' for a fast delivery and well pack package. Cheers Timo.
-
Anymore info on what you've done with it? Timo.

Aii stop hijacking my thread!! I myself, am also a graduate with a degree in Computer Science. Never going to use it but the best years of my life, so far anyway. Start in the Police soon, can't wait to kick some arse!! Obviously if I catch anyone breaking the law in a Corrado they will be let off immediatly 8) Timo.

82k at the moment. Had 79k when I (and my father) bought it two months ago. Actually it now belongs to him as he's just sold his motor bike and bought my share out. My vr6 is just about to get some nice new lower suspension fitted and then it will be back on the road the the G60 will be going for a rest in a nice dry garage to keep the miles of it for a while. The intention is to run one for 6 months, then the other. That's the theory anyway. Just trying to keep the milage of them both is a knightmare.... want them to last forever you know!!!! Timo.

How do you reset the service light on these things? I'm gonna service my mum's car soon and need to be able to get rid of the light. Its a 4 year old one I think. Its has my mums' personal plate on it so I cant be sure on the age. Cheers Timo.

Its not faster than I think, it's a fast as I think. Bloomin' fast!!!! 8)
-
Damn Kev, you beat me again!!!!!!! Timo.

1) yes 2) Manual, the head light units have a knob on the top of them that is easy to get to on one side (The right I think) and hard to get to on the left. 3) Press and hold for a few seconds, actually it may work if you just press the up buttom quickly. (cant remember, i'll check in a minute) 4) Sounds lke the ISV needs cleaned out. (Idle stabilization valve) It often gets chocked up with dirt. Not sure if the 2 litre has that though. Carb. Cleaner from halfords does the trick. 5) Get it second hand from a someone breaking a corrado (happens on here alot in the 'parts for sale section' 6) Bloody windows always rattle, mine do my head in. Sometimes opening and closing them sorts it for a wee while. Oh, and yes the Corrado does punish the wallet heavily but believe me its worth every penny  Timo.

It does use low pressure turbos. It actually the old S4 quattro engine slighty de-tuned. I could also argue the usual... he's got 4WD so he loses X amount of power due to that... blah blah. kevhaywire, It has been tweaked by one of the previous owners. 68mm pulley/chip/oil cooler. The usual stuff. I tell you man, its a flying machine!!! I recon its quite and even match, obviously not of the start line but once moving it must be pretty close. 230 bhp in a A6 aint that much. They are rather large!! Maybe the guy had just had a big lunch or he had just done his wife in and she was in the trunk and she was fat and there was anvils in with her and his handbrake was stuck on and there was a big head wind that wasn't effecting me and ......................... can't think if anything else
-
But I bet that thing weighs a few Kgs.....
-
Just been looking up the specs of that machine. 230 bhp V6 twin turbo. Maybe I did get a little tow but my g60 aint standard. Maybe the turbos took a wee bit of time to spool up!! whereas I had instant boost!! 8) 8) Timo.

On my way back from getting parts from the dealers today and I see a audi coming from behind at a rather fast rate. It had just over taken someone. I thought mmm..... wonder what this is. I was looking for RS badges in the front grill and found now and thought ideal I must stand some chance here. I was thinking probably a 1.8 T as it had a quattro badge and there was no black smoke when it over took the car behind me  Anyway, comes past me and then gets stuck behind a van in front on me which gave me the chance to see it was a 2.7 Turbo. I thought to myself, "yup, this is going to be interesting" so I tuck up behind it to over take with him the next time he went. Unfortunatly he did a rather dodgy over take and I decide I would wait. (it was very close!!!) He managed to get past and few more car/vans with more dangerous moves but I finally got my chance and caught up with him after a blast along a straight!! He was stuck behind a few cars and I knew a nice straight was coming up. I'm thinking "I hope and can keep up with him" and he went, I went!! I was stuck to him like dog sh&t on your new pair of trainers!! All in all I pretty chuffed with myself. 13 year old VW versus £30k Audi and he can't get rid of me. 8) Thought I would share that! Timo.

Just the Koni sports suspension kit from http://www.larkspeed.com A few people on this forum have this kit and recon its pretty good. Supposed to be very similar to the koni TA/H&R springs setup and its was only £380 so I cant argue with that!! You can barely get the koni TA shocks on their own for price!! Timo.
-
Oh well that's my wallet alot lighter. Just ordered the suspension and I ordered all the other parts from VW this afternoon except the front top mount kits which Scott is selling me (hopefully) Job done...... and now I'm skint!! :( Timo.
-
Dont want the spoiler mate. I'll get back to you on the top mounts if thats ok. Going to the dealers early this week to get the other stuff priced and ordered so I'll have a better idea!! I'll probably have them off you. I'll let you know as soon as possible. cheers Scott, Timo.
-
Scott, How much did you pay for them??
-
They will be ordered to  I can see the cost of all this spiralling out of control!!! :( Ahhh... who cares, it'll be worth it in the end! Timo.
-
The 'hiss' is perfectly normal!!! Mine does the same thing and so does other VR6's Timo.
-
Just to check what I have and will need. Front and rear top mounts Rear axle bushes (really looking forward to doing that  ) Bumpstops (front and rear??) Another trip to VW dealers. I'm there best customer!!! Timo.
-
Well don't leave me in anticipation!! How much do you want for them? Already managed to buy the rear axle bushes from someone else saving me a few pound so I may aswell continue 8) Timo. P.S. I thought it was worth replacing the rear top mounts too as these will be shot?? Is this not the case. Surely its worth doing it while I have the suspension apart.
-
What actually comes in this kit? Gonna upgrade the suspension on my vr6 before I get it taxed and back on the road. Does the top mount kit just cover the parts for the front suspension? I just want to make sure I get the mounts for the rear shocks too! Cheers Timo.
-
pics? Timo.

How much you want for them? Very interested, just about to start sorting out the suspension on my vr6 and I was going to order these from VAG. Cheers Timo.
