Hi mate. I had a similar problem on a honda civic i used to have, the wishbone, strut was all changed but no difference because the chasis was misaligned cause of the impact. The corrado is a stronger car no doubt but still be prepared to get the chasis jigged and suspension geometry checked once all the replacement parts are on. hope that helps mate.

I'd rather do a timing belt and water pump on a g60 than a timing belt on the fiat 20vT which is an engine out jobby which was stated in that post...corrado vs fiat coupe

Have you serviced the car at all? check usual small things (filters, plugs, dizzi cap, rotor arm, leads) before looking at bigger parts.

You can always use vinyl as an alternative, depends on the car, sukhs is totally trimmed but it doesn't look ott.

Does anyone on this forum have wide rims on the back of the corrado? If so do you guys have to use coilovers or can you use lowering springs with them too and how wide are the alloys?

Nah i really do like audi handles and was drooling over them at the Woburn meet but i do want to retain the original looks of the car too so standard handles stay. i wish the donor car had the red dash and carpet i woulda been laughing! dubprince im gonna keep the price of the interior secret for now :) So who's car is that in the avatar?

Yep same colour indeed, was tempted to go dusty mauve or even black magic but im keeping it the same for now. Bally gonna go for delocked passat rear ones.....looking at option to get dash/trim/and carpet retrimmed or sprayed to either black or brick red as is the colour of the leather interior....have you fitted the speaker pods yet?

Babrul the cost is around £750, bearing in mind its not a bare metal respray and a contribution to that amount will be made by the insurance company of the guy who reversed into my wing. dubprince....i cant wait to see the results too, when you going to show us pictures of your motor?

The interior was residing in a g60 in hackney/ london the interior in manchester was not brick red, it was a bright red urrgghhhh! I was considering taking off the washers but decided against it, i didnt know the roof could be smoothed tell me more...any pictures? I aint got a clue where that dash is but i want it.....so if anyone see's it please let me know

ok here's some more progress pictures straight from the bodyshop.... All trim is removed Dents are filled in Debadged and Deseemed Thats it for now....watch this space!

I partly agree with the making them illegal to use whilst driving, i've seen so many idiots wander all over the road and you think whats up with them untill you see a mobile in their hand. But then having a handsfree in yuor car is like talking to a passenger, so it doesnt really affect your drivimg manner

My advice is to buy another ignition switch (spare ) and use it if the switch ever goes, you need the keys in the steering to turn the steering wheel and use a screwdriver to turno on the ignition and start the car from the new ignition switch.
