  1. now do i want a mushroom, tapered musroom, bung, tapered bung, blind / blanking grommet, pvs or rubber..... ha ha... what a thing to be looking at at midnight!!! thanks though
  2. and where did you get your gromets?? did you ever get a pic kev?
  3. Henny, would appreciate your views...when you fitting it? kevhaywire, thats what i thought but Johns answer was "The reason my solid mount does not cause vibration is because the front crossmember upon which the front mount sits is rubber mounted itself. My JMR solid mount therefore eliminates the undesirable movement found in standard mounts and makes a valid conribution to the transfer of torque and engine stability, which in itself will prolong the life of the rear engine mount. This like all my products is tried and tested, i'm not in the habbit of selling products that make the car worse. Vibratech products have got a good reputation and indeed have used them myself, but at twice the money are a little expensive. " (hope he dont mind me posting that...im just trying to get the best mount as i said)
  4. ok...let me throw this into the equasion... JMR solid alloy front mount. John (who has been very helpful with all my other queries so far) assures me there is no extra vibration (from using both on his own car...and having fitted many to his customers cars and getting good feedback) anyway just wondered what all your views were?? cheers
  5. really???? although they were listed under the corrado vr6 on that other site??!! oh well ... i have other things to spend my money on now...like fitting my new schrick 8)
  6. you have a couple of PM's from me BANANA MAN
  7. Well one problem is sorted and now another develops If i press the switch i can hear the relay kick in but the window wont budge. same thing with both switches (pass and drivers side) also...if i put the drivers window down and then press the pass side down (nothing happens) and then i try to put the drivers side up nothing happens (like its waiting for the pass side to do something???) broken pass side motor?? :(
  8. fixed... took it all apart and checked the bearing and it was fine. put it back together and sounds fine again?????? damn cars...anyway i have another problem now.... see problem section

  11. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha thud.... sorry ....that was me laughing my head off. get my coat aswell so now i need BOTH front and back  damn well i'll just get a front one now and look into the back one later. will they still replace the one i buy from mike if it lets go....even if im buying it off him second hand?? or is it like a stainless steal exhaust when they only cover the original purchaser
  12. bit worrying to hear although as you admitted you were running alot of power through there! hopefully just the schrick by itself wont be too much power that it will knacker it completely although Mike Edwards, what power were you running and will this mean the vt mount is now half knackered ?? an a happy note just phoned adrian flux and it wont cost any extra to add the schrick or the vt mount or my koni's (which have been on the car for a few months already :? )
  13. im gonna take it all apart again tonight and have a look. im getting a new bearing again just incase.. all i know is that it was whisper quiet on sunday and monday and then last night..... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkk.... what a noise!
  14. aggghh... fecking car.... tensioner was so noisey this morning that i borrowed my mums crappy micra to come to work... got to get another bearing tonight... cant believe it is screaming again now?? was it how i installed it?? i made sure i pressed it in carefully and straight!!??

  18. cool, thanks very much for that info...priceless where can you buy spray lacquer?
  19. nah...i want to upgrade...just want to get the best one at the best price. the VF one works out at £88 the VT one is £140 (cheapest so far) think i'll still go for the VT though if its not gonna cause as much vibration
  20. yeah i noticed...hardly any to be found online.
  21. cool, well i guess ill keep looking for the VT then. if anyone knows where to get one nice and cheap let me know
  22. so you would still recoment the vt ones over these vf ones? the vt ones is still stronger then?
  23. http://www.eurosportacc.com/mounts.htm from america...same as the VT mount?? to go with my schrick so if its not as good as the VT i'll keep looking cheapest i have found the VT one is £140 at the moment
  24. GGGRRRRRRRR. just got in the car this evening and started up and got a really loud high pitch whistle (for those with a guitar its the same pitch as the 7th fret on the high e string) did i damage the bearing when i put it in? did i do it too tight (dont have a torque driver)? bugger!!
