true...im not in the habbit of doing things in halves so if i did do this i would want it done properly....am i right in thinking its about £200 inc fitting for the mount. actually im not sure if i'll be keeping the corrado for much longer anyway but it seemed to cheap to just ignore the offer..
-
well if i did fit it i would rather be safe than sorry....which puts it out of my price range at present....oh well.
-
well i was gonna get it for about £500 but if i have to get a mount aswell that pushes the price up to £700 which i simply dont have at present....oh well... hopefully i'll make a profit on it anyway if i sell it on in the UK.
-
well looks like i wont be able to afford it then....but i'll check which OBD connection he has and then maybe advertise it on here anyway for someone else. cheers
-
would i get away with a standard engine mount then?
-
so you run yours on a comletely standard engine? did you upgrade the front engine mount? ta

Im sure it has been answered but im a bit busy and i know there are people on here who can give me a quick answer.. basically i have been offered the vgi from a mate in the USA. only thing is he has it on his passat vr6. I have asked him to check the throtle body type but im guessing it wont be the right one...??? anythin else thet would be different or is that the only thing i need to check?? also...am i right in thinking i can fit this by itself?? i dont have to do the chip at the moment..aslong as i reset the ecu it should run fine. ta muchly

CF distracting me from work :D anyway... only 8k a year??!!! give adrian flux a call... they didnt mind about my stainless steal exhaust or my koni suspension...sure they would mind about 17's either... and i have unlimited mileage. 8k is nothing....what happens if you drive to london for instance and realise you have done all 8k ....ha....have to wait till next year to get home..... nah you dont want that restriction!! yeah it was a good deal although i woulnd say it was mint when i got it.. see this for work im doing http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13531 had 80k when i bought it...now about 87k

Ford, dont worry one will pop up from no where one day.... i was looking for my vr6 for about 3 months before i actually saw it. When i did see it it took me 5 mins to call him, 1 day to go down and 1 hr to agree to buy it.... you have to be quick if you see a nice one dont be scared of high mileage ones though...aslong as they have had engine work (timing chains etc) they will be just as good and a 70-80k car
-
alfa....apart from if it broke down!

Anyone fancie scanning the pages in and posting them up here??/ or email them to me and i can but big files on photobucket. -
ah..... im not sure that the prices on vr6 have gone up yet have they?? you see alot of over priced ones tbh but there are also still alot at cheap prices. maybe they will all go up a little bit slowly but surely?? i paid £4600 for mine in Nov 03. not sure of the value now but it must be about £5000 considering the clean up work and mods i have / am getting done. Ford, was that quote fully comp or tpft?
-
where'd you get that from?? its 76k according to his advert oh and try adrian flux for insurance. im 21 and fully comp on my vr6 is £1200 3 yrs ncb and 3 points

really???? i thought that john whitle guy did a deal so that it was about the same price?? i thought you were very happy with the swissol stuff kev? why would you want to change? -
if the paint isnt broken, give dent devils a call....they'll be cheaper than taking it to a body shop for those bits.
-
i know a guy (person that did all the respray work on my crx) so i'm getting ti nice and cheap (£300 all in :D) it is alot of rust isnt it!!! i was suprised actually....guess it wasnt looked after all that well by the previous owner after all. been wanting to get it done for a while....but the time has come (if it gets any worse the wing will need replacing!!)
-
Well i have finally pulled my finger out and booked my car in for some tidy up work. several spots of rust on the body, colour coded number plate surround and a new exhaust and a new Kamei eyebrow and a black VW badge. Here are the pics. Before on the left After on the right. will post the after pics when its been done!

although as i have said before.... my speedo is 10% faster than my gps at all speeds but isnt noticable below 50 mph. i have standard 15" wheels. 10mph differeance at 50 mph is a big difference and must mean the needle needs moving...may be worth checking the rev counter is acurate aswell. plug vag com in to get a reading and check what your needle says then
