When I had mine done I blanked off areas Ann’s threads so they didn’t get coated. You can just see the plate and bolts where the hub fits.

I’ve been waiting a while fo a next day delivery. I think they are a bit stretched with some stock

I only have one now. Keeping 2 on the road helps you go through money faster than a week in Vegas, if you were allowed to go that is.
-
Sound advice but not “just” down the road I’m afraid.

I knew I would hate doing this 🤪 can of worms mate, can drive you mad. I wouldn’t read too much into one run.

I was there about 8 years ago when it had a supercharger and I thought it was a bit low on his Dyno. I had a new throttle body on 15 months ago and got over 10 more Hp on the next run. Point is a clean properly working air intake is as good for power as the block. I’d check the compression, if that seems ok throw the schrick on and take it back for another run and see what the difference is. If it’s Jason doing it he’s ok at doing the run but not much more tune wise I think.

His Dyno could be off a bit. Was it JP auto tech

It looks like engine power, if you do the KW conversion to Hp, which would suggest a little down. If you are worried do a compression test on it.

Ask him if he knows it’s a mix of late parts on an early shell -
Looks very clean, you must have spent a lot of time under there since March.

Cover everything up real good too as the sparks from the steel will burn into everything and go rusty in time

So you are sending that a signal to operate at 4K revs via your Jegs to open the flap to get more torque

Grinder with cutting and grinding disks and a dremel.

You can borrow my bonnet if you want Cressa, it’s just leaned up in the garage doing nothing at the mo, I have a new one on the car. My car used to have a schrick at some point and has a cut in the bonnet frame structure.

Clear as mud, unless you just fitted it yesterday 😎 and boy have I spent hours researching and thinking of this. Now I feel that I could fit 10 a day after stressing over doing this 🤣🤣 I Agree, weather it’s fans, sunroofs or the above and more, you end up being a bloody near expert in getting that project sorted as no one else has a clue you take it to or you dare not let the monkeys near it. Or the one expert who might be able to sort most things is expensive and far away.

Looking at this, this morning. It beggars belief what some people expect to get sometimes. The restoration project on the press car for instance. No engine or box Late bonnet, chin spoiler and front bumper fitted to the car.Missing centre caps. It must be a fair list if you had a good look. Who in their right mind would pay that kind of money for half a car unless it had recaro seats -
I really haven’t a clue what you are on about. Well done for sorting it out, stuff like that makes my head hurt 😖 🤣🤣

Shaun have you still got your aquablue paint tag for inside fender the orange tab- I have one here you can have next time I have to see you 😂 Yes I still have this. But it’s not on the car, it’s in a box somewhere, thanks anyway

Aren’t those rear callipers in the photo from a mk4 golf? Although the carriers are the same

132.5k Miles in 2009 and hasn’t had a mot since that ran out in 2010. Makes you wonder why it ended up in bits in a lock up for 10 years. Looks like it was loved just prior. -
Happy New Year everyone. I wish for an end to covid at some point and not to need both inner cv joints again this year. 🤞

My fan part number
-
My oe fan has the same part number as yours. plug on the back of the fan
-
I’ve been looking and it does list 3 different powers as you say and a few say it cross references your fan part number but I can’t he my head around the plug only having 3 pins on the drawing, unless it means 3 power pins and one earth. I looked into this as was worried running a 30 year old fan on a turbo set up as it comes on more often, I gave up in the end. From what I can read about it you should be good Keyo, you are correct in it is your fan plastic they have broken so I suppose you don’t have much choice but to roll the dice. good luck with it mate, it’s a good find if it works out 👍
