  1. I’d try s battery swap with a known good one. Then start looking at alternator. A good fully charged battery should read more than 12.09v disconnect it and see what it reads, then you will see if you have a big power drain, if there is a difference that is. Good luck Matey,
  2. This is still available from heritage, I recently bought both sides. We not b as cheap as Robins though
  3. Thanks for the replies and photos Hasan, think I’ll leave it though. Should have read it more carefully. Actually wanting Beige
  4. It’s also missing the plastic ring for indicator switch off and horn connection. Chancer
  5. You can still get the rad panel through classic parts in Germany or if you can wait a bit through heritage with cheaper delivery
  6. Well done matey. Can be a complete arse tracing electrical problems. Take it the alarm wasn’t working as it should either. Have you now removed it.
  7. 2 plastic pins to pull up, near the rear cards as Sean said. Pull one up and push the seat back, forward and it will flop down.
  8. Mark I had a similar experience on both of mine. If you want it to look nice and be very reliable you have to change a lot of 15 yo 20 year old parts. It depends how far you and your wallet are prepared to go, also the time scale. I’ve had mine 7/8 year, time helps absorb costs if it’s still road worthy. I also think it’s reasonable to expect the condition and mileage to reflect on the price should you want to sell it, as in the the recent 12.5k for silver VR6 one. Some chancers are jumping in on that as in the eBay £1500 for a yellow right off, that hadn’t been taxed for 10 years, or had a successful mot in the same period. Might be a good project but the guy is lying out his Arse on the description Circumstances budget and time dictate a lot and not everyone is in the same boat. Keep your eye out for what looks too good for the money probably is. A lot of people on here have gone int multiple thousands on there cars but they keep em years and don’t care, but if they sell they will want there efforts a moneys to reflect on the car. I also think because prices have been buoyant some have choosej to sell in the first place, bringing more good examples on the market.
  9. I think I like it body wise as mentioned it’s a like it or don’t. Not much help with your issue for starting/coil etc, other than I had a similar problem with distributed coil version and went OBD2 from 96-99 golf with new coil pack etc. Starts every time and runs great. Vince helped a bit mind but others have said it’s possible to diy and is far more reliable.
  10. If it’s not that it could be the soldered joints in the door that goes to the actuators There are a few threads on this. Unravel the sheathing to see if the joint is still good and not corroded. Follow it along the bottom of the door and unravel upwards three red wires are soldered together or should be.
  11. I’ve just had a Clifford concept 650 installed in one of mine with the tracker tagged in, it all has battery backup. If the alarm goes off for any reason they ring you up, I think they also know why the alarm went off. They’ve rang twice in three months because the proximiy alarm has activated. You also have an app for your phone that puts the car within about a metre on a map. The only thing is the yearly subscription, depends how long you are keeping the car I suppose, life time subscription works out less than 3 years upfront. It all works great now, I’m not sure it’ll last as long as the laser alarm in my other Corrado though. Another thing to consider, how good does it look at the back of your fuse box? If it’s factory like and so is the car I wouldn’t want that to alter too much if you get my meaning
  12. Yup that swinton, unbelievable I’ve been filling up at the Shell garage with my two for years, even more so lately. Not the last few days though I haven’t got air con.
  13. Cressa you can come and look at my purple one if you want and if you like I’ll put you onto the guy that sprayed it. Pm me if interested
  14. Could be closer Ray actually live in Swinton. There a few around theses parts, but you don’t see em much. Have you seen my blue one lately I’ve been in it quite a bit locally, road testing!
  15. Who’s your dentist buy the way ;)
  16. I love the last photo Very nice
  17. Have you bought some Andy, where from? I thought that the version I bought off of eBay we’re pretty good. In what way were they poor.
  18. I suppose with cars selling like they are at the moment, the price doesn’t seem that unreasonable. It does look the very nice ( not a fan of the grey leather though). It just seemed a bit of a mark up on what it sold for recently. Having said that I wish you luck with the sale, higher prices can only be good for us that already have one and hold on and keep up maintenance.
  19. For £18 worth a try then. From your description of the fault it could well be that. If not it’ll be a case of checking the wiring from the fuse box backwards. Good luck matey Having thought more, if it’s not the module, it could be the speed signal it’s getting to make it operate. I’m curious how you get on. Please post your result with your ebargin.
