  1. The FK half-smoked jobbies should have 'limited edition' stamped on the red reflector - well mine do anyway! :? HTH Cheers Mark
  2. I hear what you say Tattie, but I don't think it takes as long as you think to upload a CD on to it. My GF's ipod setup can have a CD converted to MP3 and transfered in less than 3 minutes - impressive stuff.
  3. I keep getting a server error when I try to download the codec
  4. How about a Dension DH-100 MP3 Hard disk player (20 GB - about 250 CDs!). This has got to be the way to go for the future. Only £399 so it's in your budget. http://www.gadget-gopher.co.uk/data/563263922883.shtml HTH Cheers Mark

    Steering wheel

I've been thinking about getting a Momo Shuttle - I think it would match the grey interior of my C quite nicely - what do you guys reckon? I'm not sure about the yellow horn push, but I expect that can be changed for a black one :? Cheers Mark
  6. Thanks for the replies chaps. I removed the heatshield around the cat a couple of months ago, as it was half hanging off anyway from hitting speed bumps etc. That got rid of a big rattle I had for ages. But now a similar sounding rattle has returned, and it sounds like it's coming from the cat, but can't be too sure as the sound reverberates under the car somewhat. Is there another heatshield somewhere else that could be rattling? £400 for a sports cat sounds a little steep  , if it does turn out to be the cat that has gone I think I'll just try and get a secondhand one. Cheers Mark
  7. I think my cat is on it's way out as it's starting to really pong when the car is warming up, and is making some strange rattling noises. I'm thinking about getting a performance cat - has anyone on here got one, and does it make a noticable difference to the power? I'm thinking about £250 - £300 is about the right price for one, or am I way off the mark? :? Cheers Mark (2.0 16V, August 1992 :( )
  8. Black G60 parked outside the 'Mops and Brooms' pub in Shenley this lunchtime, around 2.00 pm.
  9. A good choice there Tom with the FKs - just give them a few miles to settle and bed-in, as they can feel a bit crashy and hard at first :?
  10. You may want to add a few items (or indeed the whole table) from this options list. It's from the 1995 Corrado Brochure, and gives a good guide as to what was standard, and what was extra - and the silly prices VW charged! Please note that traction control was not standard on the 2.0 16V - just the ABS
  11. FK Konigsport here - lovely Jubbly :D
  12. Happy with mine too :D I've got the back ones set to softest, and the front ones 0.5 turn towards firm. The front is a bit too bouncy when set to the softest setting (and also takes chunks out my tyres over big bumps  ) Cheers Mark
  13. Found a 9 inch tube - only £15 too http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/www_ ... g_102.html
  14. That's what I thought too - It'll be like a white T-shirt in a nightclub  I think the guys on the Vortex site found that a 9 inch tube fitted well, but i've no idea where to buy one from :? Cheers Mark
  15. Check this post out guys from the Vortex http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1039668 It looks like the UV blacklight is the way to go. LEDS I think will give too much purple glare, so using a 9 inch 'tube' looks like the better option. Anyone know a decent place to buy one? Cheers Mark

    2.0 16v

Very clean! Nice wheels, nice colour  The tinted headlights aren't my cup of tea though :? Cheers Mark
  17. I've had this mod now for the last 3 months, and I'm still not bored with the noise 8) The character of the car really changes past about half throttle, so you would never know it's there if you are driving sedately (like that's likely  ). Cheers Mark
  18. I used cellulose (sp?) thinners and the plastic spatular from my George Forman grill to remove the gunk on mine  A quick polish with metallic T-cut and some wax, and it looked spot on  A good low-cost mod IMO 8) Cheers Mark
  19. Go for the Fk's - they are a bit tricky to line up, but a few minutes with a power drill on the mounting holes sorts that out  I've had mine since May 2003, and so far no sign of any leaking :) Cheers Mark
  20. Airbox mod is easy mate, check out this link http://www.kf010a4571.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ And go to the downloads section. My suspension is FK Konigsport coilovers - I got them through a CCGB group buy for a great price. Try giving Yaash motorsport a call http://www.yaash.co.uk for a good deal on these :D Cheers Mark
  21. I've never heard a bad word said about Fk's, and I can certainly vouch for there quality - top notch :D You could probably get a similar ride type using koni adjustables with H&R springs - but then you wouldn't be able to set the height to your needs. Not much difference price wise as you can get the FK's for around £500. HTH Cheers Mark
  22. Hi Babrul - yeah I remember you, your car looked quite tidy. I'm Glad your exhaust is trouble free  Have you drilled your airbox yet? Cheers Mark
  23. Got it! [web]http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi? ... 13&up.y=10[/web]
  24. This will be my first time coming to this on Wednesday - can anyone give me directions or a postcode for the event site - I will be coming down the A3 from the M25? Cheers Mark

    Oh Bugger

Jesus Ant - you have such bad luck with your car! I take it you won't be going to no-rice on Wednesday then? Cheers Mark
