SpoonFedTuning 70mm front spoiler and rear wing group buy
VR6 Gar replied to dogger's topic in Forum Group-Buys
Hi, also interested in a 70mm front spoiler if you could give me a price. Cheers. -
Cool, didn't realize it was supposed to be as close to the engine as possible, so it will be perfect just before the join then. Just need to find someone to weld it on now. Cheers.

Bought a De-cat from ebay for £42 posted but it was 5 cm too short so sent it back. Been thinking that rather than spend about £70 on something that wont give and benefits other than a bit of extra noise I could just get the AFR bung welded into my new 6 branch near the bottom just before the joint. Will the gauge still get accurate enough readings positioned here, and is there any other potential problems with this idea.

While its getting up to temp there is an occasional problem where it feels like the rev limiter has been hit and I have to jump on the clutch. Sometimes its when accelerating hard, other times when not, so no real pattern to it. A couple of days ago it stalled for the first time when dipping the clutch as I approached a junction. And yesterday when doing about 80 in 5th the car seemed to loose power when the accelerator was pressed and the rev counter would drop to 0 then back up even though it was still in gear. Did this for about 4 seconds, then was fine. Now these symptoms clear and it drives perfectly when at full running temp. The car also sounds like an evo recently when backing off the gas, ie popping on over run (hunting?) My guess is a sensor is duff, causing overfueling, which in turn is causing the other problems. Suggestions?

The back of my heater controls have red light wire wrapped around to provide illumination for the dials, but it has not worked since buying the car. Anyone know where you can buy this stuff, its just a single wire that plums into a headlight switched live. Tried google and ebay to no avail.

Well today this turned up. 25mm H&R rear ARB. Picked up off ED38. Surprised it was still available as it had been up for a few days when I saw it, but I guess they are only concerned with making their car handle like crap in the aid of 'lows' and blingy wheels over there :camp: Don't remember there being a kink(see far left) in my eibach arbs which I fitted to my old mk2, so hopefully it will be apparent when fitting which side it goes on.
-
All wrapped up. Used this as it was soooo much cheaper than the stuff from the likes of merlin, venom etc. Heatwrap Once fitted I will report back on any fires.

Cheers, I am really happy with the paint considering how little I paid for it. Does have a fair few stone chips on the front end though. Can't say I expect much in the way of power, but like you said the noise should be even better. Also decided not to charge it due to the cost, so will be caming and remapping at some point instead, so thought a 6 branch may free up a couple of extra horses when thats done. Wrapped it earlier which took ages, and is a very itchy affair. I plan on taking it to my local VAG specialist to get it fitted though, didn't fancy trying to do it on my drive, so he can struggle with it instead, lol.

Seeing as the weather is good and its just been cleaned some new pics. These shinny bits are also ready to go on once the wideband bung is welded into the de-cat. and its been heat wrapped.

Blue Rado with black D90s in Paignton today, you were routing around in the boot, and I was in the work van, so thought better of shouting at you, lol.
-
Blue G60 on BBS RZ's between Newton and Torquay today around half 10. Stuck in traffic, as was I in my work van going the other way.
-
280 on the rado's. 288's came on late spec mk3 vr's
-
Cheers for that. Had no idea just how much postage would be, but $160 cheapest makes it more worth while to go for the dg autotech ones. And having read more posts since my Q was postage they seem to be as good anyway.
-
Had a search of google and the forum but cant find where to get these. After some 263's having read such good feedback on them. Cheers.
-
Got fed up with the hole in my dash, so made a blank out of wood and sprayed it matt black. Also got a load more gauges fitted. On the look out for a cheap de-cat pipe now so I can get the wideband plugged in.
-
Apparently the Rado's came with at least 2 different sizes of cats. Mine has the longer 70cm type, yours must have one of the shorter ones, 51cm maybe?
-
You need to find an ignition live and an earth behind the dash, otherwise it will still read when the engine is off.
-
what, no one? I guess it can be a hole filler for now then. Just ordered a vdo oil temp gauge so i can use other things on my mfa and one of these:cool: Shame the only 1 of the 6 not working will be the water temp gauge:(
-
Got a spare one of these so thought I would wire it in. When my dash gauge was not working I tried wiring it to the yellow water temp sender but this did not work. Anyone got one fitted, and if so how have you wired it. I.E. where/what type of sender are you using?
-
Don't think they were any wider.

I bought some off ebay which were described as mk4 1.8T brakes. Bolted straight onto my VR with new 288 discs. And yes, they are a fair bit better than the standard brakes.

Glove box.

Gun smoke.

Picked this up a few weeks ago now, so thought I had better get some pics up. As I bought it. Since buying it I have fitted some 288mm front calipers from a mk4 1.8T with new brembo discs, fixed the broken water temp gauge, put some dials and a stereo in and fitted aero wipers. Also refurbed the wheels myself with matt black centers and silver rim, and lamin-x'ed the rear lights. How it looks now. Got some infinity door speakers on the way to sort out the sounds a bit. Long term plans are to charge it and H&R rear arb.
