1. Cheers Jim but we're all good, that extra couple of quid you guys gave me was needed though, bought a role of bubble wrap and postage came to £10.50 rather than a tenner.
2. Oooooooh these are really tempting......got about 4 sets of wheels on the go at the moment!
3. Postage went out today (UPS) for Portent, Jim, Sean Jaymo and Butterfly. Still waiting on payment from 2 people before I send out. Cheers Ron
4. Thing is Kev, SC and turbo are not comparable on power or price. SC cost is under £2k if you can fit yourself and buy second hand. No need for gearboxes or LSD or any other big budget items. Less hassle and more power than a comparable NA set up where cams, head work and a six branch plus labour would cost the same as the SC. Turbo is £4k for the Stealth kit, plus £1000+ for gearbox recon and LSD, plus optional extras like boost controller, traction control etc The VRT is hands down the best power option but you can't compare apples to oranges :)
5. Just came to this thread now, been busy for a while.... ......sweet Jesus.....better get saving for that gearbox now :) I say that in all seriousness though :( I had an IHI VF34 Octavia VRS (1.8T) that was running 340bhp (Jabba built car) and it shredded 4 gearboxes in 6 years. Running no where near as much power and torque!

7. Hi, would you take £50 for the CDA? basically I'm looking to experiment with a closed intake box to keep water out of my supercharger kit.......so looking for a cheap one to butcher.
8. I wouldn't myself, mainly comes down to what type of spacers they are. If you have some 5mm with longer bolts then they are OK on the standard hub as long as you have OEM wheels that dont use spigot rings. If you have aftermarket rims, with spigot rings and big spacers, chances are you'll have wobbly wheels. But saying that the H&R spacers are very high quality.
9. Cool, thanks for clarifying. One last question :) Are the adapters H&R or some other brand?
10. Pm sent, I'm up for the stand at Stamford......just need to get my dash back in the car ;)
11. So this is now 4, 2 mint, 2 dented? I'd be really keen on these but the dents worry me. Can't see what you mean in the photos? Also one of the centre caps looks to be different to the others? With the adapters, what is the offset? Just wondering if these will rub with a 205/40/17 tyre. Cheers
12. Good work there mate, kind of still wish I was racing this one in the twintowns challenge :) Although the 728i seems to be a lot dryer :)
13. Hi Folks, Thanks for sending payments, the extra couple of quid you guys have put in will pay for some extra packaging. The wheels come in their own boxes but they are flimsy with minimal wrapping so some extra bubble wrap and maybe an extra box would be a good plan. Just waiting on payment from Matt Reynolds and Morten Ellis Will try and get them out on Monday to you guys who have already paid. Cheers Ron
14. Hi Jim, £23.16 for you. If it helps then I'll PM everyone with exact amounts owed and my paypal no Cheers Ron
15. Hi Chaps, Checked my statement and it comes to £1230.97 + £16 bank charge = £1246.97 (exchange rate was about 1.19) So for the guys having a wheel and horn cover, it is £178.13 Postage is an additional £10 for those who want them posting. I do head down to Sheffield from time to time or you can collect from Newcastle. If there was anyone that wanted a wheel only, then let me know as I'll need to work out the difference. So far the payments I've had are: Butterfly = £155 Morten = £165 Adrian = £165 Matt = £150 Jim = £165 Sean = £155
16. Few pics I took late night in the office. They look smashing, so nice to see plastics that are satin finish and not shiny and smooth. I've checked all if them, no damage but one has a strange casting Mark on the plastic section. I'll take the hit and that one will be mine :( Manufacture dates range on them from 1996 to 2003, so these really are the last Corrado wheels ever! What I wasn't expecting is how much texture there is to the leather, unlike modern wheels that have a smooth satin finish, these have a lot of leather texture to them. Just going to check my bank statement to work out final costs, will let you guys know what the damage is :)
17. A massive box from VW classic just arrived.......please be the right part....please dont be damaged :) Will put pics up as soon as I get a chance at work.
