  1. Another Blackberry owner here, I actually looked at your car when it was for sale at the end of last year. Ended up buying the one I have now as it had leather. 2. Hi Matt, Afraid I managed to get one already, there was a C down at my local breakers. Thanks a lot for digging it out though, appreciated. Cheers Ron
  3. Cheers for that, hard for me to keep up with this stuff as i also run a company plus have two small kids and so my days get full very quickly! Looking forward to seeing that car!
  4. Pics of connectors, was hard to get good ones. ---------- Post added at 10:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:29 PM ---------- Also pics of switch pins and really base and circuit diagram.
  5. Hi, so while I know I am probably going to kill myself for not taking you up on it later. I think at this stage it is not a good time for me, the price seems very good and so someone should definitely take you up on it! The problem for me is that my car only just had a new head, timing chains, clutch etc about 30k ago and it doesn't use an oil and so tearing it apart again is just a waste of money right now.......however, it is a very good price and it was a hard choice Best of luck with the sale!
  6. Cheers Jim, a very good tip! Time to fire up the old soldering iron :)
  7. Managed to score the end of the ABS looms from a local breaker.....along with some other goodies ;)
  8. It does sound like a good deal mate, just assessing the money situation now :)
  9. Hi James, PM sent, now have the swicth and relays so ready to take the plunge with your loom design. Hopefully it all goes well, others will also go for it :) I guess the instructions are the key!
  10. Order form vw heritage, they had them in stock last month (when I bought one) came in a couple of days
  11. I've sent the OP a pm to find out more about this, I'm keen as long as its a decent job.
  12. I found this problem today on mine, worth a check! http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?79622-Advice-needed-how-to-fix-broken-ABS-connector
  13. I am kind of tempted but the problem is that this kind of job is not something you can get done at the garage down the road. Where did you get your original block bored to take these pistons? Am I right in thinking that the cost (in addition to these pistons) would be the boring out of the Block plus relevant parts to rebuild the engine? Just wondering what the total bill could be?
  14. Hi, Discovered that the connector has a number of broken wires to the ABS pump on my car. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?79622-Advice-needed-how-to-fix-broken-ABS-connector I need the end of this loom with the connector and about 6" of wires from the end. Must be in good nick, no breaks in the wires etc I'm then going to solder the wires together to fix my loom. Thanks Ron
  15. Hi David, I read on the Vortex that the power to the ABS also is linked to a few other systems in the car. I also read that disabling the power to the ABS also takes out the brake booster and so makes the brakes super crappy.....not sure in how much trush there is on the Vortex though ;)
  16. Hi Jim, yeah I think that is my last resort although I was hoping there would be a less severe fix. Does anyone know if driving with this cable disconnected would cause any issues? I ask as MOT on my car is not due until MAY and so it gives me some time to find a breaker to get the connector from. Should I disconnect a sensor so that the ABS control unit shuts the ABS down?
  17. Unlike most connectors on the car, the back of these seems to be filled with some kind of Epoxy, probably to stop water ingress. It looks a right bitch to fix this one!
  18. Hi guys, Ever since I bought my car last year, I have had the odd ABS light on situation. This has gotten more and more frequent until now it is just on all the time. I used VCDS to read faults and it was saying that all the sensors are reporting bad readings which suggested to me it is a connector issue. Pulled the connector today to find 2 wires broken and several look to have been Chewed? Any ideas on how I can fix this as break point is almost flush with the connector and so no wire left to re-join :(
  19. Btw guys, if any of you fancy joining our North East meet in Helmsley on Sunday 17th of March, you are very welcome.
  20. Cleaned the last of the glue left over from removing the window tints, found some stuff called Tardis tar and glue remover on eBay for a fiver. Worked very well!
  21. Are these drop in or do they need the block to be re-bored?
  22. Thanks a lot! Do you know if this is just the plastic bit or if it includes the metal pin retainer?
  23. Hi mate, What was the part number BTW as I need to do this soon too
