1. Matt, you are a legend! I was starting to sweat that maybe I had bought a load of junk that nobody knew how to install :) I also has had a reply from James at 4 Seasons tuning in the US who managed to dig out the install instructions that come with the kit. Although they are for an OBD2 golf, they are close. The VAG comunity is a truely awesome thing! I dont have the bracket you have with the idler wheel on the end, I've been in touch with VF and they "think" they still have them in stock but want $200 for it plus shipping/tax etc I'm sure you are a busy guy but if you did have some time to measure the key features of yours, that would be really great as looking at the photo, I'm sure I could make one. The photo's you've sent have been really valuable as there are so many threads and pics on the web that it is almost impossible to tell what is the genuine kit for the Raddo. At least now I know what is what. A few more questions: Belt - The belt that came with my kit is double sided, but in some picks online they are single sided. Can you tell me what yours is? Pipes - Any chance you could photograph your intake pipes for me? These are mega bucks from VF and so I'm going to have to make them. As many shots as you can, and also of the pipes that come off them and show how they fit together. Maf Clamp - Did you use the MAF clamp unit? some people say that this is no longer needed and companies like Stealth can map around this? Oil feeds/drains - My charger has the big drain fitting at the bottom plus a long fitting with 2 connectors on the main body, and another connector next to the charger outlet. Feeling a bit less panicy now :) I bought the charger from a local garage that was going to fit it to a customers car but then the customer bailed and went VRT as they are after 300bhp+ Charger looks to be pretty much unused, no marks or dirt on/in it. Impeller spins without play or noise. Cheers
2. I have..... The V9F charger The main bracket that bolts to the 3 belt tensioner holes Double sided belt 3.2" pulley which is the 6psi one All the attachments on the charger for the oil lines and the actual oil feed line but nothing else, I dont have the adapter to tap the oil filter housing for the oil feed. I dont have any istrucitons and REALLY need these! Some of the photos I've seen online show an extra idler pulley/bracket near the alternator, but then some photos I've seen of the kit dont have this and so I ahve no idea if I need this for stage 1 or if it is just part of the stage 2 kit? I don't have any of the intake/boost pipes but I can probably make those if they are not available anymore. I have contacted VF but they are not much help. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'd love to get old girl back on the road!
3. Hi Matt, I've managed to get hold of the charger but the kit is incomplete. Charger is new and comes with the mounting bracket, st1 pulley, new belt and oil feed lines but I can't find any instructions online and so I'm not sure what else is missing. Looking at all the various forums it looks like people have run these in a number of ways and so I need a steer on what i need to get this going. I'm just going to stick to the stage 1 set up for now as I want reliability. For example, in some images of the kit there is another bracket with a tensioner wheel on it, the kit I have doesn't have this and so I'm guessing I need it and need to source/fabricate it? Also the is no intake pipe and while it looks easy enough to make this out of allow piping and silicone hoses, I'm not sure if I am supposed to have a Diverter valve as some pictures I've seen on line have one and some don't? Any help you can give would be very much appreciated! Cheers Ron
4. Sorry, should read V9F! Looking for some advice on installing one of these puppies ;)
5. Time to finally sort out these appalling brakes. Set of 288s, new EBC pads, new disks and also Goodridge braided lines front/rear, also changing abs sensors while we're at it. Also having a service and Samco hoses put on at the same time......man, the Corrado gets treated better than my wife and kids ;)

Hi Ben, To be honest I probably won't post, I'm pretty busy with work this next few weeks and don't have to time to go find a massive box and bubble wrap etc. certainly too fragile to post without a load of protection as it could get bent pretty easy. I am in Newcastle but travel to Sheffield a fair bit if that would help? Cheers Ron
7. Hi, I really appreciate it but another member who is near me has also offered me one. I'm going to try and work that plan out but if it doesn't work, I'll let you know mate, cheers!
8. Please also add me to the list for a set of VR6 ones. Thanks
9. Payment sent! Any ideas on when you'll be sending them out? Cheers
10. That sounds perfect mate! For postage I think if you can get a few large bits of heavy duty card and sandwich the glass between them. (make sure card is bigger than glass to protect edges) That should do it. Interparcel.com is always a good cheap option. Where about a are you? Cheers Ron

I have a classic green one, is straight but but a bit rusty on the back side where the radiator is. Nothing too deep and not perforated. £30 plus whatever the delivery would be. Cheers Ron
12. Hi All, My rubber window seal has scratched my window :( Seal has been changed, just need glass now. Cheers Ron
13. I wouldnt say £2K gets you a tidy one, good ones with leather and chains etc done £2700-£3200 Everyone one I saw for £2K was high mileage, little work done and no extras. When you consider that getting the chains/clutch done is the best part of a grand! I think for £5K he needs to explain a bit more as to what is working, what isnt and why. Plus put some better pics up. The fact that he is so vague in his ad makes it sound shifty.
14. No, not me mate. I thought about going to see it but then realised the logistics of a divorce are too complicated ;)
15. I would ask him to get the CANBUS converter done as part of the deal. When you look at his ad from 2012, he still says it needs the converter. If it was my car and I'd spent all that cash already then I'd spend the extra £60-£100 to get the rev counter working. My concern would be that if the rev counter doesn't work due to another fault then you have a shed load of modified loom to check over with very little help from any manuals. Or you could just budget for having to take it over to Stealth and get Vince to give it the once over.
16. Cheers man, getting there. Feels like rather than there bring more wrong than right, the balance has tipped the other way. Still got a hit list of jobs but they are steadily going down......just like my bank balance ;)
17. Took a couple of snaps this morning before setting off for Stanford hall. Treated the paint to a clay bar, AG resin polish and AG extra gloss. Also balmed the leather!
18. It was a great day guys, even with the mother of all hangovers ;) Car is bloody filthy though!
19. Fitted BMC CDA intake and also swapped the drivers side headlamp to a new one without a chip in it. While doing that also added the uprated headlamp loom and fitted some Phillips Extreme bulbs. Then found a few blobs of rust developing behind the passenger headlight and so ended up sanding back to bare metal and treating with POR15 epoxy paint (evil stuff but will never rust again!) Paranoid about rust I then removed the battery to get a good look at the tray, very happy to see no rust and so then coated that in cavity wax. Then started tidying up the engine bay, re-wrapped some of the wiring looms with new loom tape and also gave the rocker cover a paint. Polished the inlet and finally re-sprayed the bonnet stay with was getting a bit scabby. Cleaned the car and started clay bar cleaning in prep for Stamford hall ;)
20. Hey Sean, keep up the good work man. If it makes you feel any better, I paid more than double what you did for mine (stupid heart decision) and still ended up doing a lot of the jobs you have. Lots of bodges done by past owners :( I'm nearly finished after about 70 hours work and £1000 spent, feeling good!
21. Crackin! Kipvw, are you heading over from Sheffield in the morning and if so, what time?
22. I would go one step further than wax oil, use POR 15 on it. That stuff is beyond hardcore paint.
23. I'm driving over from Sheffield that morning. Have a big night out before though so will likely be a mess that morning :) What is the latest I can show up to make it on the stand?
24. The Corrado guys are a great bunch, when my last one was stolen (unfortunately not recovered) I had several calls from people wanting to see if i was OK (I loved the car) and also word of it's theft was spread very quickly throughout the VAG scene by the forum members. One of the guys even put up a temporary webpage that had all the photos, mods and unique items about the car listed (it was Khaki pearl with VWM VSR and other nice bits) and numbers to call if anyone offered parts of that description to them. Incredible really as I didn't ask for help at all :) Even got advice from a member who worked in insurance on maximizing my claim as the insurance company were trying to take me for a ride.
