Looks like you have a good one there mate - very original looking :)

You can use the double sided tape used to stick badges etc on from Halfords or similar place.

Thank you Kev, excellent help as usual.

I have just discovered another leak from the left of the block as you look at it from the front. It seems to be from under the alternator. That's where the main water pump is right? Sounds costly to fix if the alternator has to come out. Can't see exactly where the leak is from though, can only see it from under the car with limited access. Will try and have a proper look under the car soon. Any obvious places to look out for whilst I'm under the car? :(

Dark red metallic L reg 16v (not sure if it was sherry pearl) at around 6.30 pm yesterday on the A6 in Stockport - flashed and waved. Then about 10 minutes later a nugget yellow on the M60 heading towards Stockport.

Looking sweet phat rado, and welcome to the forum. Whereabouts in Manchester are you? Looks like the first pic is taken in the Arndale NCP? Will have to keep an eye for you.

My aux water pump failed leading to progressively severe loss of coolant.

Yes, the only difference I have noticed between mine ('93) and seanovr's ('95) is a very slightly different electric sunroof switch. That's it.

Fair point mate :)

I have heard a rumour on another forum police only bother trying to recover tracker equipped cars if they are under three years old, or prioritise those at least. Hope it's only a rumour, does anyone know for certain?

Can't answer most of your questions but I do know that normal halogen headlights rely on the headlamp lens to perform at least some of the focusing of the light beam and xenons don't - hence use of clear headlamp lenses with xenon lights. The point is you shouldn't use xenon bulbs with say, normal C headlamp lenses. So it would be better to use the whole unit inlcuding the lenses or make your own clear lenses that don't affect the focussing of the beam.

Stealers = dealers! I'm sure you can draw your own conclusions...

Mine went today, water leaking from the aux pump, bought one for £69 inc from the stealers. Because the design has changed slightly couldn't get it to fit as tightly as the original.

Looks very similar to a car I saw advertised in the Auto Trader about a year ago for similar money in the Merseyside area, even has the same wheels.

Dark blue metallic H** WRC 16v in central Manchester this afternoon - lovely lady driving too ;)

Yep but they are '93 model year cars I think - mine's a late '93 but it's a '94 model year car...
-
The interior on the early VRs was the older type - i.e sliding not rotary heating controls along with Mk2 stalks. I think 93 model year cars had the newer interior.

To Whoever thought they were being clever...,

Yep mate, if I was in your situation I would be equally annoyed... -
vr6corrado's VR6 - replacement has arrived.

Yes mate, I really like the design of the Speedlines. -
Nope - not all of them. Some G60's have leather interior & some VR's have fabric, althought all the VR's had the later interior. Some of the late G60's came with the VR bodyshell too (like mine) - Later style bonnet & wider front wings, etc. I'm sure I have seen a VR with an older type interior - sliding heater controls etc - or is that still newer than the G60 interior?
-
Yeah we decided to go for the contrasting option! 8)

If you mean 4.30pm then yes it would have been me. I'm pretty sure it was 3.30pm. I was in the city centre before 4!

Thanks Henny, I'm not round Chorlton very often, more often I go through Fallowfield towards the city centre.
