  1. Will do, thanks andycowuk, and thanks again Kev :)
  2. Thanks Kev, so do I need new rear calipers? What's the likely cost?
  3. Shilakadaddy your welcoome but if it's Bordeaux red as joebloggs69 says its not quite the same as mine.
  4. vr6corrado

    Corrado VR6 MPG ?

I came from a mark 3 8v gti too and although economy is worse considering the performance improvement I think its worth every extra penny - even on the optimax! I get around 23 mpg around town gets upto 25 if it has warmed up and the best I have had is 33 or 34 mpg - combined motorway and A road stint.
  5. Having had a look at more posts, I guess it's more likely to be the wheel bearing?
  6. Could be like mine, appears a bit lighter but that could be due to the bright sunshine we don't get up here! Look at the pics in the gallery - link is in my signature.
  7. Two pics showing the FK lights, I think they look better than the original lights but not as good as on some colours.
  8. That looks really good Jim, the colour is lovely in the sun. :)
  9. I agree with Henny, I only thought they look good with dark metallics such as blue or black but they look great. I think they look better than the originals on mine but not as good as on some colours. Pic of mine here, more in gallery. *mod edit - fixed your quote for you - Henny*
  10. After a run on the motorway last night (could be coincidence) when I stopped at traffic lights and let the car roll very slowly on a slope with clutch down and no brakes I can hear a noise from the rear driver side of the car. It's a bit like when the front brakes squeak but much deeper, more like when a bus has dodgy brakes. Is this the handbrake seizing? Any ideas would be much appreciated. Cheers.
  11. Hi that was me mate (the sherry pearl VR6) and I saw a black 16v there in the morning and felt sorry for it! It was in a state. :( Was that mk2 8v gti there yours? I see it parked there quite regularly near Scu Bar. Nice car and nice wheels by the way!
  12. Here is part of the page, hope it works.
  13. The spokes at the bottom of the wheels (i.e nearer the ground) look shorter than the spokes at the top to me - could be the angle the pic was taken from. :?
  14. If you haven't bought one yet look here mate http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7272
  15. Mine's in the boot and not quite in the corner - stupid - takes up more space than it should!
  16. Here it is, found it on the website too, but the pic is different than the printed version. http://enjoyment.independent.co.uk/moto ... ory=485053
  17. I agree but I think reversible modifications would be ok.
  18. Crazymarcel wants to use silvertech bulbs for aesthetics and I had to change mine because the indicator bulbs only wouldn't fit into the existing bulb holder. (I didn't use the new fittings.)
  19. Hmm they're supposed to be only half smoked, so the tint isn't very dark. Plus the pics are rubbish will put some decent ones up after I wash the car.
  20. I must admit I didn't do mine myself so can't help. I did need to change the supplied amber bulbs for ones with straight pins though.
  21. I got mine at lunch time today. My insurer's (Norwich Union) said it was ok and that there's no additional premium or higher excess provided they're legal. I'm going to get it in writing from them anyway just to be on the safe side because on my policy schedule it says 'none' next to modifications.
  22. Sorry another bad camera phone pic!
  23. Will scan it tomorrow if no one has done it before then. Rodders are you going to ask for a fee?!
