well, luckily, both under trays are already off, and the setreo is out too, so I can get at it all. just need some daylight now.

heater dials ---> OOO buggering thing is stuck on cold. typical, I've had 2 weeks off to do everything I wanted, and it packs in on the day I go back to work......
-
Yep, he's right, the 3.3 is awful. Just go for the 3.94, it's quality, the cars pulls like mad in every gear, it's like having another 50BHP on tap.
-
Have you ran that down the 1/4 mile?
-
oh, and it's B&M, not B7M, sorry.
-
I watched it go up to £155! then kicked myself for selling one for £40 the other week.
-
Why buy the dieselgeek one when mine is the same but cheaper and in the UK?
-
You should be able to get blue no problem. I was quoted a 6 week wait for any other colour. Yes, they are over £200. Try Hose Direct in Doncaster.
-
I've got a B7M one, it's utter sh1te. I can make you a short throw shifter for £50 exchange? much like these ones http://www.dieselgeek.com

The black one on the VR is for air con.
-
My mate reckons some twonk paid £300 for a polished VR6 inlet manifold on there a few weeks ago!!
-
Some monkey will pay £70 for them, they always go for daft money.
-
Might be the blue coolant temp sensor?
-
Remove the CPS and clean it, and clean the blcok up where it seats too. then refit it, with NO grease. Worked for me. New one is about £130!!
-
No they don't. the 2.8 VR6 has a 3.3 final drive, and some passats have a 3.94 final drive (which I have in my VR6 box). theres a 4.2 final drive too.
-
F*ck fully comp, it's not worth claiming unless it's a total loss. It's not worth losing your NCD over. I've claimed once in my 10 years of driving, and I've still only got 4 years NCD. The system sucks, I'll never claim again.
-
Oh well, they've completely ruined my mates mk2 golf!
-
Doesn't sound right to me. My VT mount lasted a good 5 years, with lots of drag racing abuse.
-
27 YO 4 NCD corrado 2.0 8v I paid £236 in May to insure a mk2 VR6 (valued at £4000) and they wanted an extra £50 to swap it to the corrado!! after a bit of 'discussion' I got it down to an extra £25 instead. so if it's any more when I put everythng that was in that golf into my corrado I'll be playing holy f*ck! £800 insurance my ar5e, I'd rather go to prison than pay that again.
-
b*gger! I've got 3 cars off the road at the moment. I have a SORN for one of them, one of them has just run out of tax, and the other isn't even registered in my name yet. I hope they don't come looking for me!

You know how the parcel shelf can be made to fit behind the rear seat? will make up a board that fits there, and screw the amp to that.

From past experience, I'd choose a proper set of uprated anti-roll bars and quality polyurethane bushes over a cheap lowering kit anyday. Unless you dampers are knackered, do the ARB's and bushes before you buy a suspension kit. Then save up for some Bilsteins or H&R, some quality kit. Don't even consider a set of cheap springs. Can I just add that the ride with AVO or Supersport coilovers is unbearable....

My 8v has all the later panels bumpers and headlights, and the raised boot floor, and the trimmed rear arch lips too. That's why I bought it!
-
Well whaddya know, my mate also had a momo wheel on his corrado too.............
