  1. It's called the Central Electric II system. Makes VR and G60 conversion in late mk2 golfs a peice of p1ss :D
  2. Any 89> golf passat, corrado up to about '97 has tha smae fuseboard. p1ss easy to swap it over, the connectors will only fit where they are meant to fit.
  3. My Clifford 50x was a nightmare. so I took it out, and re fitted it myself. Never had a problem with it since.
  4. You'll find it's to do with the bonnet switch getting wet. It confuses the alram, into thinking it's open. then when it dries out it thinks it's been shut. if any moisutre then collects on it, this can short the circuit again, leading the alram to think the bonnet has been opened. Find a SEAT in the scrap yard, some have excellent bonnet swtiches that are weather proof, unlikt the cheap sh1t alarm installers choose to use.
  5. It sounds like a bent driveshaft to me.
  6. Is this the most pointless thread on this board? :( :?

    G60 Boost pipe

it's different on a corrado Paul.
  8. Polished wheels don't take much looking after. Better to run steel wheels and winter tyres in the winter though.
  9. that looks utter sh1t. :x But I do believe the one at the top is one of the best I've ever seen!
  10. So, to sum it up. if you lose the door handles, sort out the headlights and the windscreen wipers, fit 4WD and a 6 speed, and can get parts a bit cheaper it's perfect? Looks like I'm on my way to building a perfect corrado then! :D I noticed no one slagged of the gearchange, when the 02A is meant to be a notoriously hideous gearbox for shifter feel.
  11. If fluid is leaking out, you can take it for granted water is leaking in......it won't be doing it any good. Might sound silly, but you're not one of these people who drives with his foot on the clutch when slowing down are you? my dad and my sister do that, and when the engine is at adle, it's not turning the PS pump fast enough to provide enough power. (and also it's a toss way to drive too).
  12. rust? they're forged aluminium you fool. They will get white furry marks on them if you never clean them, but if you wash them once a week and polish them every other week they're fine.
  13. bin the lot and buy some proper components
  14. don't buy a new one, just get some second hand ones. unless you know of a local garage, that has a press, and you know they will press them for you there and then, do not take your car to bits.
  15. You need a hydraulic press to press the new bearing in. It's easier to get hold of another set of front hubs, clean them up, paint them, have the new bearings fitted, then swap them over.
  16. all I've done it used paint stripper to get the lacquer off them. I haven't had any polish on them at all yet. Not had any bother with the going 'furry' yet either. They'll be coming off soon anyway, I'm going 5 stud with wide track soon and putting the polished speedlines on it.
  17. It's meant to be grey, but it's a funny blotchy brown colour around the sun visors and down the drivers side (where it is also a bit saggy, and the plastic trim won't stay clipped in place either). What could it be? leaky sunroof? or maybe a previous owner was a smoker?
  18. my mate calls them a cor "ay" do not a cor "ar" do like everyone else on the planet.
  19. It's Andre Kain's car. I was lucky enough to see it in Castrop this summer (where that pic was taken). It's absoultely awesome, without a doubt the best corrado in Europe, even though it's brown I must confess to doing a Wayne's World style "we're not worthy" appreciation.....at the time I was...very....very.....drunk
  20. Hehehe, can I point out I have a 6 speed close ratio VR6 syncro box with a peloquin torque biasing diff in it?---it makes me :D I also have all the syncro floorpan panels, brand new :D :D
  21. Love: Looks Handling Seating position Dashboard VR6 engine Exclusivity Hate: VW prices Timing chains VR6 oil filter housings Orange indicators The HUGE Wing mirrors Headlight performance
  22. time for a new thread. Corrado loves and hates, coming up :D
  23. did someone just call the corrado retro? that's it, it's for sale... a quote I once heard about the Corrado "it's so ugly...it's beautiful" :D
  24. I just can't stop looking at them, they are fantastic. Come on, show me something, that can be bought for similar money, that still looks as good today as it did when it was originally released. I bet there nothing to beat out favourite VW coupe.
