What's the going rate for one of these nowadays? I have a perfect one sat here but not sure if it's worth me selling it or paying to get it fitted properly?

so I was happily driving along the motorway with my daughter yesterday when I realised the interior of the car was not getting warm, I turned the stereo down and couldn't here the heater blowing even though it was switched on. A few seconds later smoke was coming from beneath the passenger side of the dash!! I immediately pulled over and switched the ignition off, then quickly disconnected the battery. After being recovered home by the AA I stripped the car to find the heater motor had burn out where the wires go into it. Quite lucky I pulled over when I did! Anyway does anyone know if the heater motors are still available from VW, or does anyone have a spare I could buy? Thanks

The accessory pack you get from Aldi is about £6, the dremmel equivalent would cost you about £70!!

rob Aldi do a dermal type tool and also a full box of bits, very cheap and comes with a 3yr guarantee, I've gone through 3 dremmels in 2 years. There not as tough as you may think.

With the Arcan make sure you undo all the bolts and put some thread lock on them as they will work loose! Other than that there a fantastic Jack.

Evening all, just lately after a decent run once i switch my engine off and go to restart there's nothing, the ignition lights come on and then when i turn the key a bit further i get nothing. If i leave the car for say 20 mins to cool down she fires up perfect! Any ideas thanks

Was a while ago haha!! A lot has happened since then! Full windows out respray, full shot blast and powder coat of everything underneath , new Jetex exhaust, big brake kit, new wheels, dials and steering wheel etc! It's looking good now. Just need to fit my Schrick but haven't got round to it yet!! :-(

Another vote for the Arcan jack, there in Costco at the minute for £70+vat, get one quick as they don't always stock them!
