  1. Black 2.0l 16v plate something like M690 NNY spotted in Largs - outside Vicky's Bar on Sunday.
  2. Cool man - I got VR6s black cloth interior and keep meaning to put up pics - my old grey one was horrible. I'm still to get black carpets though. You got any further mods in the pipeline - bet you have more time to think about the car now the exams are over. Take it easy. G
  3. I hear you Roddy - I was certain though that I read an article about the Campaigns saying that they were only available in Dusty Mauve which was a hitherto unheard of colour on Corrados - I'm sure it said something like that and it then gave me the impression that after the Campaign's there were models available in that colour. The mystery continues...............
  4. Interior's looking sweet! How long did it take you to change the carpets and put the interior back in?
  5. My vavler suffers from this all the time - I think it sounds SPORRRRRRRRRTY!
  6. That is sweet man - the DBP looks amazing in the top photo - love when the sun brings it out like that!
  7. I'm still suffering with a button only spoiler too - have been since August last year!
  8. sorry but its impossible(from the factory that is) ......tis a campaign-only shade........tbh urs looks more like twilight violet anyway......easiest way to check is the paint code sticker found in the boot or on the driver-side inner-wing Roddy - I've seen Corrados for sale on Autotrader advertised as Dusty Mauve but they were not Campaign models. I was under the impression that the colour had not been seen on Corrados until the Campaign model but after the Campaign it was a colour choice. :? Dunno if anyone can clear this up? I have always thought that Dusty Mauve shared some similar characteristics to Dark Burgundy Pearl. Looks similar in the above pic - just more reddish than purple really.
  9. Looks much better without the spoiler on the back mate! Wheels are growing on me too! 8)
  10. nightmare man - that stuff pure stresses me out - feel like an obssessive compulsive sometimes.
  11. The Westwoods were the Standard Wheels for the 2.0l 8v - what about the campaigns wheels though -
  12. My wheels had a similar problem - when checking under the bonnet for leaves make sure there's none stuck in the top right hand side - there is a plastic cowling held on with 3 or 4 metal clips - check under here. I wouldn't worry too much about the rusting on the arch - especially if it's on the face. You can just rub it down, fill it and rust prime it. Then get your paint code and a can from VW (which comes with lacquer) then spray it and lacquer it. I did this and the match was incredible - took a wee bit of blending with Tcut but looked fine until about 10cm away. The face of the arch is on a different light plane than the body of it so even if the match isnt spot on it still shouldnt stand out a mile. Check out this link for some wheel ideas:- http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight=
  13. Like it Chris! Will definitely need to pick one up - especially for £20! Cheers guys
  14. That would be great man - would just spray it myself - paint match from VW has been really good. 8)
  15. A stainless exhaust would look good though! Also - IMHO 3slat grills look nicer - check out Dubster's gallery to compare the differences. Think they just look sharper with the newer style grill. Best of luck and welcome to the forum.
  16. I agree whole-heartedly with Kvwloon - car looks great - fine mint example of an Hplate valver. You say the car is in need of some love - that isnt apparent from the photos - are they any specific rough areas of it?
  17. I've been thinking about getting a brow spoiler for my C just to make the front end look a bit meaner. I have the standard 3slat grill and have removed the 16v badge - anyone know any good deals on them or any particular style that would suit my car? Cheers
  18. I'd just like to announce that Sir Jimmy Saville is dead.
  19. Cheers Dave - found that out last night when I heard something rattling about inside - it was indeed the plunger!
  20. You can appreciate Michael Jackson the performer and his musical genius while at the same time realise he is completely bonkers!
