It definitely is not a VR6? I mean it does have 5stud wheels and the VR6 steering wheel, the bulging bonnet and grey leather. :? I aint questioning the hideousness!

Right Phat - you have the bench type like I did don't you? Just put your hands down the back and pull the seat up - at the front of the seat there is a hooked clip - apply pressure with a screwdriver or chisel type thing to push the clip back and you should just be able to pull it out.

You should sell the faces and instructions on how to do the conversion - you had much interest?

Clean looking motor mate! :D Are those headlight washers on the front bumper? I don't think I've ever seen a Corrado with them - were they an optional extra at the time of purchase?

It's much easier just to get a car with a silly plate and have everyone call you Boj! :wink:

Never had any speedo probs and as I say it always works off the button - so do you guys reckon it's a connection problem from the sensor to the spoiler? Incidentally it always goes back down when I brake to a standstill.

What are your wheels like man? Are they Ronals like mine?

OK guys - sort this for me! My spoiler hasn't worked since I've had the car (August 2003) except from off of the button. It's been mildly annoying and I've tried all the advice about the dreaded blue wire and still have had no joy. It behaves very strangely though - noticed that on the Rolling Road at Star Performance in November it worked fine - which I thought was unusual - but back on the road it didn't work again. Couldn't explain why - thought maybe that as the CD player face-off had been removed that might have caused it as it's likely that was the first time the car had been driven above 60 without any music on - so tried driving it at speed with the face-off removed and it still didnt work! So frustrating! :mad: Now here is where it gets super weird and I would love anyone to be able to provide an explanation for this! A week or so ago I filled the car up at the BP and then left into a 60zone and noticed in the rear view mirror that the spoiler was up - I couldn't remember pressing the button so thought I must have done it out of habit. Next time I left the petrol station I noticed it again but again wasn't 100% certain that I hadn't pushed the button - so made a mental note to be aware of everything next time I filled up the car. Tonight I put in £20 and went out - spoiler was down - drive out and accelerate making sure I dont touch the button and sure enough the spoiler goes up! Weird. Drive to my mates house and pick him up - leaving the engine running - drive home and accelerated up to 80mph and it didnt work!!! What's going on with it! I am beginning to think it's possessed. If anyone can even remotely provide an explanation for this then I would really appreciate it. Cheers

My grey interior that I've just punted had no armrest or warning triangle. My new black interior courtesy of VR6 is much nicer! 8)

Good price for the VR. Both are cracking looking motors. :wink:

What exactly does this thread relate to? :? I havent heard anything about the MFA having extra info before - is it useful?

I was a devoted member of the Ford clan - having had 2 XR3is - but my mate's (VR6Paul) uncle had a black Mplate VR6 and insured Paul on it for a few days about 3yrs ago - he took me out in it and I thought it was incredible - I had never really even seen one before then. So Paul got his off his uncle in Feb 03 and the more I saw it the more I wanted one so we went car hunting and picked up mine K plate 2.0l 16v with 84k on the clock in Dark Burgundy Pearl in August of last year. Haven't looked back ever since. Would aspire to own a VR one day but will need a bit of cash first. Won't part with mine for love nor money unless it's for another one though! 8)

Nice new wheels Dave - kinda VR6 speedlinish but on a 4stud! Really suit the car! :wink:

Your valver was really pretty gorgeous looking Jim. Mine has dealer optional Ronal's on it - seen a few Cs with them in the past. I really hate them though. Need new ones! 8)
