I know what you mean Rica - sometimes you imagine how these things will look and the reality is really different. I would have imagined the smoked effect would have complemented the colour of the car well but to be honest I prefer the standard lights. I dunno - hard to tell from pic and maybe harder as it's half and half.

I have seen Corrados advertised on Autotrader as Dusty Mauve but they are not Campaign models. Any ideas anyone? I heard that as there was no fixed retail price they all ended up being sold cheap for around the 21K mark at the time which in hindsight is ridiculously low but that might just be hearsay.

that's what I heard too and all were sold in the region of around £21k

I agree Kev - you cant port in the interior without everything. Would love to see the complete package for real though.

The interior is in the car of forum member Majik. Just wondered if we could pull together any info on the remaining Campaigns - they are like the Holy Grail of Corrados - someone must have seen one or know where they are?

Before joining the forum I had never heard about the Campaign and thought that the Storm was the most exclusive spec Corrado that was available. I have only seen a couple of pretty c*ap pictures of them. Anyone got any good photos and info on the remaining 5? I know there is a member on the forum with the interior in his G60. People's opinion on the interior seem kinda mixed too. I think it looks pretty garish but would love to have one of only 6 Corrados ever made. What do people really think about the Campaign? Does anyone know anyone with one? Where are they? I'd love to find out. Cheers

I've always thought the interior was really Garish but it is super rare and I would love to have one! Anybody know the location of the 5remaining Campaigns? Any really good pics? Also I thought that Dusty Mauve was a Campaign only colour but have seen other Corrados advertised in this colour :? . I take it that the Campaign was the first C in this colour then?

Check out the Corrado club website for some details on the 2.0l 8v - it was a pretty gorgeous looking Corrado as standard and I really liked the wheels they came with which were similar to the wheels on the Campaign model - no? Now for a car that supposedly wouldnt pull you out of bed they fetch a fair few pennies on Auto-trader as they were pretty rare. I have a friend who really wants a Corrado but would have trouble insuring one - getting an N plate 8v that looked cracking would be a great idea in my opinion - as was mentioned above - it's still a Corrado which is a rarity in itself and will look and drive better than a lot of modern cars of the same grouping. Get a Corrado - bags of fun! :wink:

Just to clear things up - in Aposegil's above spoiler photo - I can safely say that the colour looks identical to mine. If you really want Brian I can take a few photos for you to examine and then you can pass judgement on it. The colour seems to vary a lot in photos though - just look at my gallery pics, RR day and Avatar - they all look so different. The orange sticker in the engine bay says Dark Burgundy and I dont believe there is any variation with the paint. It's the same colour as seen on Golf G60s with that name. The paint from Volkswagen is a perfect match. It's quite funny the way this has prompted such a heated debate as the colour always interests people. Thats why I love it and why I posted this thread. :D

Trust me - they are the same colour - the pic above of Aposegils spoiler looks just like mine. The Dark Burgundy sticker gives it away too. Just used a tin of the spray from VW to touch up a small rust patch on my arch and was amazed at how good the match was given it's an unusual colour.

Its sorted. Paint match was great.
