  1. This is a bit of a mute point... Some say there is an improvement others don't. Removing the pipe does force the charger to only draw cold air through the air box.
  2. As said above. GSF are the people to see. It's the same filter as mk2 and 3 just has a nut on the bottom of it
  3. Indeed. It had the late interior from factory
  4. As a general rule late g60s were right at the end of the run march to August 92 Mine was one of the last off the line and built as a vr would be bar the engine
  5. I have seen more before now. If it balances up ok then you will be fine. For piece of mind you may want to go elsewhere and get them to have another go, try turning tyres or switching them between wheels
  6. Slightly jealous... I really want a twin screw as they sound epic :)
  7. I use my g60 daily as well approx 15k a year for the past 2 years... Been more reliable than anything else I've had, couple of electrical niggles to start with but all good now. 35mpg average so can't complain. I don't even change the wheels in winter!
  8. Thats definitely a late bumper. look in the top left corner of the second pic, the groove in the bumper continues in a straight line to the arch, instead of going over the top of the bumper... kind of hard to explain... ill try to find a pic of what i mean
  9. Looks late to me. Are the fogs/indicators near enough flush with the bumper. Early ones are recesses about an inch
  10. Look at the front bumper does the recess that runs around the top edge curve up to meet the arches or run straight round to the edge of the bumper. Post a pic of the bumper by the arches and I'll tell you if late or early
  11. For an early or late bumper? I have a set of late ones
  12. £20 posted sounds fair to me. Mines pretty tight, don't need it as I have an extended one fitted now due to pulley size
  13. Do you mean the tensioner that bolts between the alternator and supercharger bracket? If so I have one
  14. Sounds very much like an immobiliser/alarm issue. Mine did this after my heater matrix exploded soaking the immobiliser ecu
  15. Dragon green vr in the car park at thruxton
  16. Blackberry vr in Hamworthy... I was filling up when you went past
  17. there will be a pipe on the side of the throttle body by the outlet/return approx 10mm in size and 2 on the back about 4mm in size... one of the small ones feeds the ecu so leave it alone... the other used to be for the carbon canister the same as the larger one
  18. I take it you removed the boost return to the charger? if so ten you will probably get a high pitched whistle at part throttle, this is the wasted boost going past a couple of the nipples on the throttle body. I also deleted my carbon canister so had 2 extra nipples no longer doing anything, i got them welded over on the inside of the throttle body and smoothed off... this stopped the whistling
  19. I don't see any reason not to. However if you were able to mount a panel filter in it you woul see far better results. Cone filters and after market panel one let through too much crap and will wear your charger quicker
  20. Be careful when attempting to remove the mark. I have one on my bonnet and one on my wing that have burnt through the lacquer... Was on there for 2 days before I washed it off
  21. Ive just seen this myself What do you guys recon... its a long way for me. Have already dontated to the event. If enough people are planning on going im sure i can drag a few along from the south coast

    G60 guys...

Get the oip ports re threaded... i took mine to a local engineering place after someone had put the wrong banjo bolts in it and stripped them. cost me £10 for 2 heli-coils to be fitted to it Thinking about it... if youre still not making as much boost as you think you should be on a relatively new rebuilt charger, maybe the internals are starting to show their age. some places use a really hard compound strip on the scrolls when building, this can wear the metal very quickly instead of the apex strip wearing... Just a thought hope its not as thats a complete replacement job
  23. Well as you stated the abs hasnt kicked in this means the tyres are still gripping... ABS kicks in just after you lock your wheels!!! therefor my statements have been correct
